So, after work today, I stopped by the perfume shop hunting for my next Greek god hunky woman magnet.

The nice lady behind the counter approached me from behind, following up with a faint "Can I help you?".

I turned around and met her eyes, she was a petite, blonde, nice ass solid 10/10 in my eyes. I usually don't become intimidated by good looking girls, but for some reason I did.

All though, I was aware and did my best to remain calm. Slowing down like as if the flash was there lending me his powers. It went smoothly.

There was some nice chit chat happening, but even after 1.5 years into game and social dynamics I noticed how much there is I need to improve. My body swinging, not knowing where to place my hands, rubbing my hands, sounding unsure, not having a clear and deep voice. No worries, I'm working on it everyday.

Eventually, we decided on a product and got to the counter. She typed the price into the machine and said it was ready for my credit card babies.

I remembered, I don't have enough money in my account, so I said "Give me 2 seconds, I'm just going to make sure I have enough in my account" as I usually do and brought up my phone. But for some reason, the old beta male instinct inside me inserted a faint "Dude, you don't want her to think you are poor do you?" thought right into my cerebrum, and I followed up with "I just don't like walking around with too much on my card in case it get's stolen or something" as a statement. I actually do this though, but it was still a qualification from my side.

She just responed with a light fake laugh, like I do sometimes when I want to sound like I care.

I put it in my bag and on I went.

All though this was no big deal and I wasn't trying to game her, I'm just trying to work on my social skills in general and have a big interest in social dynamics. I still felt quite weird afterwards, because it's so interesting to actually see how we as humans are wired up to be defensive and go out of our way to not make people think less of us.

This is not actually a field report, all though it might sound like it, it's more of a social interaction breakdown I guess. It's just so interesting to me, coming from a guy who were the biggest beta male you can imagine 1.5 years ago.

What I should have done:

Just say "Give me 2 seconds, I'm just going to make sure I have enough in my account" and nothing more.
