I find a lack of motivation to approach if the girl is not a 9 or so.

Cutting porn really changed this for me. It gives an inflated level of "normal" so that a 7-8 or seems relatively unattractive.

Why do you think you should be approaching any girl?

Also, why aren't you simply socializing with people instead of apparently isolating yourself until you see a "9 or better?"

I personally, chat with anyone and have a good time doing it. It doesn't mean I have to escalate: the very idea sounds ridiculous. It's just good energy.
