This is...tricky.

As long as you're not an asshole about it, but still honest, I think she'd appreciate it. There are a lot of chubby girls out there who want to lose weight, but don't really have the motivation, so being her motivation will give her a hugely needed boost in discipline and sticking with it.

On the other hand, she could be one of those super sensitive special snowflakes, in which case this could badly blow up in your face.

Trying to discern which type she is first before starting "The Talk" would be my advice.

Bingo.

And even if she wants to lose the extra weight and isn't too sensitive to talk about it, she might lack the discipline, metabolism, genes, etc to get to the point you want her at.

I'm not saying don't date her, but if you do, date her for who she is and not who you want her to be. That road leads to resentment and disappointment.
