Hey boys & girls,
Backstory
Relationship ended rather abruptly 2-3 weeks ago with LTR of 2 years just as I began to soften on the idea of her moving into my place in the next 6 months.
She broke up with me - saying she couldn't handle my verbal abuse anymore. My behavior was causing her extreme stress and anxiety (and most likely depression). Sadly, I understood her POV to an extent. I didn't push too hard to get back, and we parted ways.
Relationship
Overall we had a great relationship. Great sex. She cooked, cleaned, is eastern European, etc.
My Problem
I can be an absolute nightmare to verbally 'deal with' sometimes. I'm a cutthroat entrepreneur that gets what I want. Sometimes this mindset can overwhelm people. Women especially. My ex is one of those people.
The end result is her completely missing my humor (thinking I'm serious when I'm genuinely joking). I began adding stress and anxiety in her life that eventually pushed her to a breaking point.
I can largely attribute this to my actions. Sometimes I'm overbearing when I don't need to be. It's something I can (and am) seriously working on.
Question
The question is simple:
My ex sent me an email 2 days ago. I haven't responded yet. She emailed asking to connect with me tomorrow (Saturday) after work.
My gut reaction is to say yes. But applying TRP philosophy in this scenario most likely has me ignoring her messages and moving on (which I've been doing).
Genuinely appreciate any insight into my situation.
TLDR
Good 2 year relationship abruptly ended. LTR broke up with me as we began to consider more serious avenues (moving in, marriage, etc). She broke up due to my verbally abusive behavior (and humor incompatibility). Amicable breakup. She reaches out 2-3 weeks later asking to call me. Do I oblige?
