I had to let go of a girl due to long distance and I met her overseas.
Before she went out with me, I had no confidence in myself at all. But then the signs were all there. She sent me pictures of herself on Facebook, in which no girl I have talked to before her sent me some selfies over messenger. And it was those kids of photos where she wouldn't send to just anyone. She wanted to have dinner with me, she wanted to talk me and go out with me in dinner about how she wants to talk about a relationship even though we haven't banged. I knew it wouldn't work, it's a 10000 km distance one I came home. I wouldn't have the money or time to come over there regularly. I know she will find another guy. She's literally a Instagram Model, and gets hundreds of likes on each of her photos with a few thousand followers. She gave me some gifts too once we parted ways.
I couldn't believe it, I was still depressed about myself, hell my fucking BMI was on the overweight scale for crying out loud. But she was into me. Even with all my faults.
Afterwards, I told myself I would get better, I would read the books, apply theories from them. Models Mark Manson, Subtle Art Of Not Giving A Fuck. How To Win Friends And Influence People.
I'm still the old piece of shit from back then. I made some new friends to go clubbing with this past year. But then those friends I go clubbing with noticed how I never really went for any girls when we go out which shook my confidence. But they don't know I've been rejected many times and haven't been on a date for such a long time. They don't know the hardships I went through.
I know the advice in this sub is to work out, focus on yourself, career blah blah blah, but still hurts to think that I'm still a virgin and never had a girlfriend. I just hate that feeling, no girl besides that long distance one was into me. Been in college for a number of years now and all the classes and walking around, no one approached me first. No girl asked me out first. Never had a girl approach me there in the club. Sucks it has to be up to the guy to do everything.
I just feel scared. I'm already 22 and I shouldn't be so down with myself but never having success for all your life makes me nervous to keep going and put myself out there
