Questions or topics to avoid to add mystery to yourself?

I was told recently by a friend (future fwb, hopefully) that I should leave some things to the imagination. Don't mention the ruckus you cause in the bedroom, your headboard-smashing abilities nor your ability to stay harder than adamantium.

You're looking at it the wrong way. A lot of people (newbies) here get too caught up in lists or phrases or specific actions when it's never really about that. Setting aside very specific examples most of the advice here are guidelines; they are there to stimulate the mind -- to galvanize your creative muscles.

Consider this: you're flirting and she asks you a cheeky question out of the blue -- what do you do? Do you answer it or do you just give her a sly smile and play coy?

The difference between 'mysterious' and 'paranoid' depends on how much rapport the two of you have built up: if somebody walks up to you asks if you have any siblings or if you rent or own your own property -- do you answer it or do you deflect? Gauge the situation accordingly and just relax and have fun :)

The only way to have a meaningful "mysterious aura" about you is to have more to your personality and life than can be learned in 2 minutes of small talk with a stranger. It's about other people being eager to earn the privilege of learning about who you are, and the unique experiences that inform your worldview.

So, you can be as mysterious as you want in choosing which "topics to avoid." Don't wanna talk about your dating past? Don't. Don't wanna talk about your lifelong friends and your trips around the world? Don't.

But, ultimately, the curtain you draw in front of yourself is just presentation. Think of it like the curtain that holds the prize on the "Price is Right." The only thing that will really impress her is what's actually behind the curtain. Teasing everything out only to reveal a 20 piece dining set won't fly.

If you are a prize, let her figure out what she likes about you. If you're not a prize, become one.
