I've flat-out stopped interacting with 8s 9s and 10s, mainly because, by and large, they're all COMPLETE FUCKING BRAIN-DEAD MORONS WITH MASSIVE INSECURITIES.
If you're coming from a PUA background, generally, gaming 6s and 7s is a lot harder than 8-10, mainly because it's a different skillset than your standard PUA teaches. Here's how I do it: open, kino, DHV, kino, qualify, qualify, qualify, escalate kino.
You REALLY have to tone down everything because they're not used to having attractive men interested in them. Also since they're not used to it, you have to be prepared for shit tests to come in different forms. While with 8s-10s I'll usually spin it around playfully, with 6s and 7s, you can get away with ignoring it.
That's really the only way to deal with it, the stuff that comes out of their mouth is just weird. I mean, they're trying to shit-test you, but it's never worked for them before because they just aren't that visually appealing. What I do is just ignore it. When they call you on your evasiveness, you ignore that too, and they'll quickly lose interest in shit testing you.
I used to get frustrated with myself because I just couldn't bring myself to get into a LTR with the 8s-10s, because they were just so. fucking. stupid. I've just decided to spend time with 6s and 7s from now on. For me, they're a lot more attractive than the semi-retarded Neanderthal-like 9s and 10s. My life is SO much less stressful.
In case you're wondering whether I practice what I preach, I'm currently considering getting into a LTR with a 6 that's a math/physics major at MIT.
EDIT: Btw, your kino needs to be going from the first 30 seconds in the conversation. It is absolutely vital. Less-than-gorgeous girls are not used to physical contact. Kino = automatically smitten.
EDIT 2: If you're going to do this, please be ethical about it. Don't just sarge 6s and 7s for the fun of it. They're not really used to male attention and it would suck for both them, and the rest of us if you accidentally broke one.

Any tips on how to kino? From my experience, 6-7's are more likely to "notice" you kinoing, which means that unless you're smooth with it, it may weird them out. Where as 8-10's are so used to kino it doesn't seem to matter so much.

Step one (this is absolutely crucial): Be at a 90 degree angle to her. Never point your bodies in the same direction, and DEAR GOD, do not ever face her directly.
Here's where the fun stuff starts: talk about something. Anything, but at some point, when you emphasize a point, slow down your voice, and touch her arm with THE BACK OF YOUR KNUCKLES, and then take them back. Do not hold it there, do not use an open hand, don't grab.
Step two: find a place to sit down, or if you're sitting down, find another place to stand up. Guide her with your hand on the small of her back. Again, unlike with a 9 or 10, you cannot hold it there. I like to think of it as small amounts of contact, purely for the purpose of directing her where to go.
Step three: sit down, or stand, not close enough to be touching, but be at arm's length, talk, and when you're emphasizing a point, touch the arm that's closest to you with the back of your hand.
Step four: Emphasize another point. Same deal as before, except this time, when you slow down your speech, you're going to put your arm around her, and remind yourself to turn your body so you're at a 90 degree angle. If she freaks out a little, don't worry about it, she just wasn't expecting it. You should ask, "Are you OK?" if she says, "Yeah, I'm good." then continue. If she pushes you off, abort immediately, slide at least another foot away, cross your legs (if sitting), and look in the other direction. She will re-open if you give her enough time. I guarantee it.
Here's the thing: you need to position yourself so that your wrist is on top of the shoulder that's not closest to you. Your bodies should NOT be touching each other. She will eventually slide in towards you (they always do), and that's when you know you can either move your arm down lower around her stomach and have her kinda like back on your chest, or you can just sit there, relax, and chat. Up to you.
Protip: Sitting or standing at 90 degrees is magical. Research shows that it makes conversation flow easier, and I absolutely swear by it.

Fuck yeah. I like this, this is the subtle stuff that I need to know. Wrist on shoulder, brilliant. I've always felt a little awkward when I take photos with people and have my arms around them, like cupping their shoulders with my hand. But just resting the wrist. Brilliant.

This needs to be a separate post.

Commenting so I can find the awesome subtle 90 degree facing of 6/7s post.

It works for everyone. Even business acquaintances of the same sex that you have no romantic interest in. The trick actually comes from a study on highly effective corporate-level meetings.

could you give some tips as to how to engineer this 90° position? If you're in a bar with a girl and there's a table between you, should you sit 'sideways' on your chair like you're about to get up and leave?
[–]Cranky_Analyst 0 points1 point2 points 16 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes, but A) lean back, and B) once you're locked in, don't sway back and forth like you're going to leave.

Is there a way to save post besides commenting on it?

For me I have to find a person to be mentally engaging before I can usually find them attractive. I can find some one physically attractive, but they can ruin it by opening their mouth. I have decided being picky is a curse.

Absolutely. I put on the biggest offensive of my romantic life for a girl who was amazingly beautiful and, to be honest I am pretty ugly myself, so when I finally started going out with her it was a total fucking shock to me. She would whine and whimper -- seriously. She'd pout like a 3 year old. She would pretend to not notice/hear things so she couldn't be confronted about it later. She was rude and mean to people. Nothing is uglier than a pretty girl who is so used to glaring at people and giving them dirty looks that it becomes second nature. I had no idea about any of this but it certainly explains why a) she was single b) she dated me c) it lasted about 2 months. I tend to prefer people who I feel like are in my own social class after that experience.

Absolutely. I think (hope) most of us have come to that conclusion already. A full "10" is not just a 10 in looks. Looks are only one attribute among many that weight the final score. I have a list of all the qualities and attributes that I really want in a woman -- that includes what she looks like, and more. An average looking woman can be extremely sexy in my eyes if she has personal qualities that I find sexy. A very photogenic girl can be extremely un-sexy if she's rude and immature.

It's the same as with women. The looks matter less than the person inside the body. It's just for men, the body matters more. That's not to say the person inside of it can't make themselves more attractive (or unattractive) through their personality, it's just saying that looks are the bait that hooks us in like fishes.

As someone who agrees with the OP, I am finding it surprising that I am actually offering this advice: "Give everyone a chance" because I used to believe that the inverse ratio of brains vs beauty is very accurate. However, I have realized that this is not always the case. Sure, in a night club/bar it will be near impossible to find a legit 10 (looks, brains, everything), but I hope most of us are here to learn these skills so we can end up happy with that one gal that is truly a 10 in our eyes. Also, there are plenty of 8s that have their shit together, and to be honest, they are probably the best to have a LTR with. Just to warn you though, I am not a guru, I actually suck at the game and have massive AA, but the amount of progress so far has made me realize a lot about myself and how people function in general.

Firstly, I don't believe that there aren't intelligent 8 - 10s out there.
Secondly, you say that 6 - 7s aren't used to male attention. I think this is wrong. 6 - 7s seem to get hit on very often because they seem more approachable than the hotter women.
open, kino, DHV, kino, qualify, qualify, qualify, escalate kino.
That seems good.
