Okay, let's say I've gotten over approach anxiety, I'm willing and able to walk up and say something - a casual observation, a friendly hello, not really that important; 30 seconds of interaction have been achieved.

Now what? How can I start attracting when moving along is what feels like the proper social/cultural thing to do? I feel like I'm "hanging around" and it's kind of creepy. I'd like to establish - gracefully - the fact that I'd like to continue talking without coming on too strong.
