Well, it typically gets a lot less interesting, and can die down a lot. A lot of it can turn into maintenance and checking in, seeing what's going on and planning, with flirting often falling to the way side. It's important to keep flirting there, but I'd say a lower frequency / intensity is more realistic to maintain, and getting her to feel sexy and wanted is important. As such, sext, send nice notes, and get her to send you nudes or other pics of that nature. An occasional "I'm can't stop thi…

I'm not going to argue with you about this. If you can't already see the masculine perspective that is very present, I won't be able to show you it, either

Yes, that there is a female presence on reddit, but that doesn't indicate it is entirely female dominated. The vast majority of Reddit is from the male perspective, though I'm not making that argument about the administration nor mods

Reddit is heavily slanted toward the male perspective and has pockets of feminism. I don't know what you're commenting on, but that's hardly the experience that reddit seems to offer.

This subreddit has really gone to shit if the majority of top comments all seem to believe that money will get you all the women you want.

Can someone tell me what they find wrong about this? I understand that it's assuming that men are rapists, but the stats show that men largely are rapists. If we want to cut down on victims of rape, this is generally a good course of action, particularly since its two-pronged instead of just one or the other. Hell, everyone should have to take both of those courses, really.

I'm glad you fleshed out your argument because up to this point, it seems like I was misinterpreting what you were saying. I think we agree in principle, but you take it a bit further than me. It's not common that I come across someone who calls sexism a lot and is someone I actually give a shit about. Most women that are worth anything, like most people, actually have some substance and don't just cry for help all the goddamn time. No, men are taught to be more empathetic towards women than wom…

Why would I address a red herring if I can avoid it? You're still arguing that men are taught to be emphathetic and women aren't taught that as much. Your credibility isn't very good having never really been in a relationship. It's a valid point. If I were to start spouting off theories of how sex should be or how other people are having sex the wrong way, yet have never had sex before, it's valid to point that out. I can see what you're saying with your three points. They are inferences, for su…

This entire argument is a red herring. None of this proves that women are taught to not be empathetic, if anything you're simply arguing that men are taught to respect women and women aren't taught to respect men. I don't even agree with that, entirely, but maybe to some degree. Have you ever had a good relationship?
/r/MensRights17/02/14 02:38 PM
-1

I agree with the first bit, but I don't agree that women are actually taught to be unempathetic. If anything, they're encouraged to be and socially punished if they aren't enough. When kids leave home, parents aren't that upset when the son doesn't talk to them much, but they are when the daughter doesn't. Your wording for the second paragraph is a little confusing, but I'm wondering what (terrible) relationships you've been in where you've been accused of sexism by asking your partner to make y…

I put figurative blinders on, don't look at anyone and force myself to do the most awkward dance moves i can think of until I can get behind a song. I then grab them and pull them in. So far, this hasn't worked, I think it's because I have a super fun vibe, then grabbing them goes a bit too serious too quickly. Ehh, I'll fi…

I agree with you 100% What people say ivory tower thought situations vs how they act in the real world are often at odds. In person situations play out much differently and it's much more about attitude than anything else. And suppose they're right, they won't date short guys. What about it? Gotta start small. They say decision making is a muscle. What I've found works is to identify every time you have a choice to make. You'll be surprised how many small things you get asked in a day that you deflect out if apathy. Brown, white, or rye? Whatever is fine. Room for cream or milk? Sure. Instead, be like that butter safe comic. Decisions! Even small ones, be resolute and pick one with confidence!

Alright. Lets say there are only two opportunities. One leads you to many others, and allows you to build up greater success in a material and social sense. The other does the opposite: not only does it lead to less opportunities than you currently have, but actually loses you friends and family. In the first, you have the opportunity to help many more people with the resources you've collected, and the second you can still help people, but far fewer. Would you still say that neither is greater?

Stop. That's in-group/out-group thinking. Everyone sees their own group as being better and more wholesome than rival groups. Both groups view themselves as open-minded and truth-seeking, and the perceived opposition as being closed-off. The thing about both groups is that they will attract those who are doing it solely because they're hurt by the other. Men have been hurt by women; women have been hurt by men. People, on average, will tell 9 people when they have had shitty service anywhere. On…

Man, that sucks. Even with reasonable women, when I bring up the mens rights movement, I get an eye roll. I think people see it as taking away from the other. My point that usually brings them around is that women may have a number of issues, probably more than men, but that doesn't mean men have it perfect. We've both got shit, and we both need to work together to find some way to resolve it, aiming at the people who can actually do something instead of at each other. How do you feel about the …

That is actually very interesting! But I've learned to largely ignore what people say, and read their reactions instead. People change their minds in context on the fly. Some may say that some behaviour is creepy, but it is all dependent on if the guy is cool or not. Uncool guy does something questionable? Creep! cool guy does the same, nonchalantly? no biggie, maybe even romantic.

Sorry for the wall of text, but I got carried away. I see where you're coming from, and you may be on to something. I have a few questions about some of the things you said, though: Girls don't like "clingy" guys(which are, really, typically just guys that love/care more and try harder, which I wouldn't consider a bad thing most of the time) because then it means there's more emotional responsibility being placed on them(since their actions/words would have a greater emotional impact on that per…

I find that quality next to impossible to find in anyone. As for paying, I never pay unless it's past the first date and I feel like they're not expecting it. It's old fashioned and typically makes them feel indebted/uncomfortable. You set the frame, and lead it how you want it to go. I don't even call them dates, typically I leave them ambiguous and it works out fine. Only two times can I recall being chastised for not paying: once it didn't affect the outcome, and once things didn't work out. …

I'm not denying that they exist, I'm arguing they're just as brainwashed as the men who buy into it. It is a trope in society, but it doesn't hold water. I'll correct my statement to say that every woman and guy that's good with women I've spoken to have seen it as a broken model for dating. Anyway, the people who actually enjoy being put on pedestals typically aren't worth your time.
/r/MensRights18/09/13 08:11 PM

Most women I've talked to and/or dated have hated being out on a pedistal. I'm not sure what your dating pool is like, but I've only had success when approaching them with a sense of equality and like their looks don't give them any special privileges.

I've been there. If I would recommend anything, it would be to experiment with how long you wait to sleep with them. Or maybe forcing yourself to hang out with them afterwards to see if you can push through. No one wants to be alone forever, right? I'm pulling for you!

Hey man, it's survival of the fit enough. If you keep having kids, bring them term and stick around a little bit, then they're probably going to survive. I mean, particularly in this society, right? My thinking is that there are several different dominant strategies currently playing.

Shit, I can't tell which one is worse. You are an evolutionary goldmine, though. Your body tells you you're into them, you fuck, move on. My friend proposed that that was the new evolution of lying to get women. The game is for men to convince woment o slepe with us by whatever means necessary, such as lying (if one were to choose a slightly more socially acceptable act than straight-out rape), while women are trying to detect true intentions. Anyway, he proposed that our genes trick us into thi…

I find dancing is a good way to break the tension. You go in with your serious framework a lot of the time, but need someting to shake you out of your standard, humdrum exchanges. Keys to the VIP before going out helps me get more in that frame of mind. They often don't give you very much good material - if any - but you get to see what's possible. If you want that kind of scope, you're better off reading a full book. An article can't really flesh anything that out. The point, to me, seems to be the same as pickup: Women are people, they're not stupid, and if you want them, you should take a good, long look in the mirror. Ultimately, work towards improving yourself, accept other's faults as you hope they accept yours, and stop objectifying/living in a weird movie-esque perspective.

I have to say that I'm not entirely on board with this line of thinking. I'm more of a "if the going gets tough, get tougher." You should be able to do well in any environment with just a little tweaking, becoming socially strong instead of falling back on what you've always done and being reluctant to change. Another point: most people can't up and change countries, or even cities, depending on their circumstances. Even if they can, I'm not sure that's the best option. That being said, I'm glad…

In psychology, it's generally accepted that Nature vs Nurture is an entirely outdated debate. It's nature that's shaped by nurture where nature defines the extents that we're likely to reach, and it's up to nurture to allow us to reach our heights or depths. I agree that we're wired differently, and it's pretty well accepted neurologically as far as I've read.

Watch some episodes of "keys to the VIP" and how some guys just go for it and it works. The escalation ladder will improve your odds significantly. Ok, these guys are giving helpful advice, but not actually saying the logistics. What you need to do is kino escalation. Look up "DiCarlo's Escalation Ladder" and it should teach you everything you need. To add to it, do a "2 forward, 1 back" approach for this and it will cut down on a lot of LMR. Yeah, you have it for good. It's odd to think that so many people have it and that it's just a "whatever" thing when it's on your face. The herpes viruses are messed. Chicken pod is also herpes that can later come back as shingles when your immune system is weak. Just be sure to keep your mouth away from others when you have a cold sore, particularly their genitals

Nah, I've already started down a path. Been committed to it and working on it for a short while now, so it's a good start. The main thing I had to say was the conscientiousness part, as it really is the only personality trait connected with success. Perseverance, in simpler terms. Thanks, though

Oh god, right in the self-perception! After reading that a while ago, I scoffed at it only to later find myself focusing on it and how it applies to my life. Feels bad, man. On the up side, it made me realize a big gap that I needed to work on. Remember: the one personality trait correlated to success is conscientiousness (Big 5)

Well, considering I didn't read the post at all, I'm going to blindly direct you to getting your hands on: Blueprint Decoded by Real Social Dynamics and Transformations also by RSD These are pretty much all you need for inner game, aside from just getting out there and doing it. So far for me, that's all I've really needed. Deangelo is a rehash of a lot of popular stuff, but it's pretty condensed if you're looking for gimmicks and outer game stuff.

Look at anything Ozzy from RSD says. In the Transformation series, he talks about a time when he lost his voice and would just mime what he was trying to say or do. Still pulled. Basic lesson: If you have to rely heavily on words, you're doing too much. This is an area I need to work on myself, as I always liked the wordplay side of this.

Ok, first you need to look up the Dicarlo escalation ladder on google. My internet is fucked here and barely loads self pages on reddit, so I can't be too much help for finding it. It basically shows the escalation of physical touch from start to finish. Kino is essential for attraction. Just a few simple touches and massages and it demonstrates that you're comfortable with their body and you're not weird/unfamiliar with women. They do call it liquid courage for a reason. It shuts down the forebrain (personality, forethought, social skills (including social anxiety)) and makes you focus more on the mammalian brain, which goes more for basic drives like sex, food, emotion. Social skills are a category of intelligence. It's best to be well rounded in your intelligences, as this helps with carrying conversation with anyone. Check out Gardner's Multiple Intelligence theory wikipedia page. I'm too lazy to link it right now.

You have to sprinkle a bit of both in. I have tried the intelligent route where you just talk ideas, and I've tried the brain dead route where you focus on amping up attraction and riding an emotional rollercoaster through stories. I find the second works a lot for the seduction end, but it makes interactions repeats of one another and they're quite boring for me. What I do is talk about some ideas, then tell a joke or relate stories to the ideas, maybe she'll chime in something related to the i…

I see it as a grading system, like in school. 70% is pretty average, 60% less so, 50% is borderline, and anything below that is not good at all. Just take those numbers and divide by 10 and that's how my HB system works

I disagree. It could be a POS bike that goes from point A to point B, and it woudl still be great. The point is to own what you have, do, are. Truly being who you are and not being at all embarassed. I don't actually own a bike, but knowing the psychology behind it (Source: an honours degree), it would be fantastic once you get a girl on it. Just so I know I have this straight, you know that HB3 or 4 is pretty low, right? As in a 0 on the binary scale of won't-will do? As in, this girl is fairly unattractive. If that's the case, why would you be surprised that a guy who is brave enough to entertain would attract her? Seems like this should be a given. I suppose the follow-up question would be: why would you want this situation if the girls only a 3 or 4?
/r/seduction22/07/12 11:12 AM

Not a problem.
/r/seduction22/07/12 10:30 AM

First, the HB scale is just whatever you think the girl is. Is she the hottest thing you've ever damn seen, ever? 10. Pretty goddamn hot, still quite rare? 9. I suppose 7 would be pretty hot, but a bit more common. I suppose you could also go into binary of 0 and 1, where 0 is won't do and 1 is will do, but that could also be seen as 1 to 5=0, 6 to 10=1. Anyway, your opener was ok, but you have to realize that good looking women have been given compliments like this and have guys hitting on them…

Let's face it: most of us got into pickup at the start for varying degrees of selfishness, potentially ending up in a "help everyone" attitude. Just at different levels of development, yeah?
/r/seduction09/05/12 06:06 PM
6

That's fine, honestly. But this isn't about you - you're the wing. It's about the guy you're winging. You're winging him to help him pick up, so it's your job to keep it about him and not blowing him out because you aren't meshing with the targets friend.
/r/seduction09/05/12 06:28 AM
6

I think it's better for both people to get results over ego. Not to mention, the wings job is to help the lead get the girl, and if he does the exact opposite, they are doing a bad job. Best to make a bad situation good in a socially savvy way than getting blown out and him knowing it's his fault.

I have come to the conclusion that hot women are one of the most useless demographics to a society, other than sex. How does one develop their personality? By overcome adversity, building character through solving your own problems, actually working! What do attractive women have to work at? Once you get going, you can probably get 30-50% (edit: of women you actually want, not of all women. This could probably skyrocket if you have very low standards). The guys' probably just ignoring all the ones that didn't bite, but you can bring a girl home every night if you were to go all out. Spice it up and play along, THEN drop the bomb that you don't give a shit. Or start making things up back at her and see what she does.. "You're very strong willed, aren't you? Totally a Gemini. /r/seduction09/12/11 08:15 AM

I'm of the contention that everything works on everyone, but to varying degrees. A very hot woman will react more to a "no" than an average woman. An insecure woman will not be able to handle any form of rejection whatsoever. So my question is: Is someone more or less real and mature when they can or cannot handle a mild, teasing "rejection" from time to time?
/r/seduction09/12/11 08:11 AM

This is a terribly written article, though I see what they're saying. I disagree, however. To me, saying no sparingly can increase attraction hugely, namely with 8-10s. People who are accustomed to getting what they want don't like to be told no. This seems like a bad thing, but it can actually spice things up! The self-deprecation isn't really necessary, as it makes sense for women to do this. A lot of guys promote such views of the worldbecuase then you will act confidently, as if everything will work out for you in the end. Oh, interesting! But may I ask you if you think it's more or less likely for her to try for the bill after you insisted on paying the first time? Personally, I find paying for the first date to be a bust because if she cares that she has to pay her own way, like a normal person, when neither of us know if this is going to be worth anything, then she's just eliminating herself from my pool of viable options. It's the same reasonk I won't buy her a drink at the club before she's demonstrated being…

Would you not agree that a field report could be any interaction that would help with his game and/or be analyzed to see what happened? If so, this is perfect for him because it's a learning experience where he will gain confidence and, thus, ability. Had he done everything he had with the intention, you would classify it as a FR with no problem. The fact that he made paying attention to her as a secndary goal without the intention of picking h er up is beside the point that it probably helped h…

Well, you could just go direct and say "hey, I've got to run (good pun in this situation haha), but we should meet up sometime. What's your number?" Another is to have a good talk, turn to go, then after a few steps, turn and say something like "oh hey, what's your number?" A final way that I got from Jeffries a while back is asking a girl if she had email. Everyone does, so she'll say yes. Take this yes as if it were permission to get it and say "great! I'd say it's a combination of this and something else. I see stockholm as being part of a struggle against some power, typically, and the kidnapped comes to associate with those who are taking care of her and showing their own story that she would otherwise never see. The addition I'd like to make is it's like water in a desert. First, they get the biological connection from sex, which is a bit before the abuse typically starts. I'd suggest taking her to a quiet place where she may be comfortable and kinoing. For instance, a coffee shop and do things like, palm reading, hand massages, whatever. Coffee is good because it tends to open people up a bit due to the stimulation, as well as a few awesome psychological factors that come into play. One of those factors is Misattribution of Arousal, where the caffeine will arrouse them and they'll attribute it to attraction. Be aware, however, that people appear to attribute arou…

Very good. Eye contact is shown to increase a feeling of connection between people. As well, psychology says that our pupils dilate when we see something interesting or, more importantly, attractive. It's our body's way of trying to take in as much as possible of what we're looking at.

In the actual act, maybe not, but with the pheromones and chemical exchange (at least with kissing), It could be significantly different. Even just believing 100% that you were having sex with a woman would change the reaction in your body.

Yes, but you're thinking only from the male perspective. What exactly is she getting out of this, besides sex? Sex is something she can get from pretty much any man. The setup you're giving me is as such: You and I both want some extra money. I agree to do some work for you that will benefit you, you don't agree to do anything for me. You end up with money, I end up with nothing but a bit of work that I could actually get paid for elsewhere. Bad analogy, but it gets the job done.

As tempting as the FWB arrangement might sound, it only has three outcomes: Dissolution: You both end up reverting back to where you stand, pre-hookup Relationship: You commit to a long-term sort of deal Break down: it destroys the relationship that was previously. One of you will be more committed (aka her) and will be hurt by the others lack of commitment and will end up with resentment. Overall, I wouldn't suggest it if you don't actually want the relationship. Leave it as a one time thing.

You did pretty well overall, I'll say that. One thing that caught me was that you seem to think "cold approach" is some sort of technique that works or doesn't. This sounds contrary to what the mPUAs say about how women actually see them as a challenge. It shows preselection, among other things. You could use a comparison to homophobia: just because they're gay, doesnt mean they want to sleep with every guy.

I hold that most people who are devoutly religious, or anyone who cannot do something simply because it's taboo, usually has some sort of fantasy about violating those rules. Worst thing that happened to me during pickup, at least in a one-time approach, was featured in a FR I posted like, 8 months ago. Specifically the "No Fun Zone" part of it. Aside from telling her you think it's rude, you could play a game of it. You could pretend to be the other end of the conversation and make her agree to overly silly things. As CuilRunnings said, this may be overreacting to such a small symptom. If you haven't pointed out that you don't like it, or that it's rude, then leaving automatically is like being a whiny kid taking his ball home because he's losing, though I can understand the desire to do so. Hear, Hear. With regards to that last paragraph, it's like how women will view being "picked up" as the failed pick-up attempts, while the successful ones are typically viewed as an "it just happened" sort of thing. Availability heuristic at its finest.

Call a girl "Cute" and they automatically want to be thought of as sexy. It's like a disqualifier because guys dont' tend to want to sleep with cute girls, they want hot/sexy girls, or so it would appear women think about men. Another I use as an opener is "You seem like you might be [positive attribute]. Are you?" I typically use cool, fun, interesting, etc. and they inevitably say "yes". Challenge them to prove it. You have to do it before the LMR is engaged. You verbalise what they may already be feeling, but haven't verbally stated yet. If they haven't actually said it, the feelings can change. As soon as the words leave their mouth, they'll have a much, much harder time of going back on it. This applies to pretty much anything.
/r/seduction18/12/10 09:36 PM
1

Depends on the scene. if you sense LMR coming, do the frame steal. If you already ran into LMR, do the freeze. It doesn't have to be one or the other, just do it when it fits the scenario. Be versatile.

I've been there. It sucks a lot when you get through a lot of material and really want to go out, but still don't think you should. I'm in a similar place, as I damaged my vocal cords and am not allowed to yell or drink alcohol (nor caffeine, whisper, talk excessively, smoke, etc.), so the club isn't the best place for me. Honestly, this girl seems like a dud. You need to realize that you're not going to have chemistry with every girl and it's neither of your fault sometimes. You did well with the things you did well, such as meeting and greeting randoms to increase your social mood and get warmed up, but it's essential that you learn kino better. It's a shit test. She's trying to see if you are who you say you are and if you can put up with her making a little fit or being a bitch. If it keeps up, I'd suggest ditching the girl and finding someone better. But no, negging doesn't really happen the other way around. Women who neg are usually actually trying to get rid of the man. Yeah, you've got preselection working for you. I had something I dubbed the "preselection feedback" going on at my friend's birthday party. I associate the people with people i know that have similar names. If it's an uncommon name, remember what it sounds like and get them to spell it for you. If it's not foreign, but still irregular, ask them how their parents came up with it. As for presence, I'd just take more of an initiative in the conversation. Look up jokes and practice telling them (refrain from going overboard and looking like a clown), tell stories, lead the conversation.

The move-away on the couch is confusing a bit, but maybe you were just misinterpreting the situation and not reading your own movements well enough. The leaning against hte wall was an opening for you to kiss her, which you missed, which is why she probably seemed confused. Lingering at the door by talking or playing with their keys is usually just an opening for you to make a move. There's no reason for them to linger unless allowing you an opening.

As others have said, Don't be needy. Just keep doing what you're doing because FwB are doomed to three fates: -One finding someone else and the other being left in the cold, resentful -It dissolves on its own and you end up being friends once again -It matures into a relationship. If you guys are a proper fit, I'd think the 3rd would be a natural progression of where you are, but it's your call whether you want to risk for the first or 2nd.

Some poor texting game there, eh? Text her saying "Hey, let's grab that cup of coffee" if you feel like seeing up. If you don't, then don't bother contacting her. Simple as that, really. Next time you see her, treat her like you normally do and keep it light. No need to bring it up at this time, but you should probably invite her to coffee or something sometime. If you meet by happenstance, then she may be a bit awkward/aloof, so you'll most definitely have to make the first move. The fact that she hasn't contacted you, and that you're friends, probably implies that she was waiting for you, and may be resentful that you had sex and haven't talked to her. Depends what measure you go by. MBTI describes extroversion as where you get your energy from. Extroverts get energized by dealing with people, while introverts get drained. Introverts recharge from solitude, whereas Extroverts feel lonely and lost. So, by that definition, no, that's not what being an extrovert means. If you go by this, both introverts and extroverts can be just as personable, but introverts just have a lower endurance for the activity.

I'd have to say I can definitely relate to what you're saying. I'm an extrovert, supposedly the most introverted of the extroverts according to MBTI. You have to realize that the average IQ is 100, and that the most common 2 categories of personalities, according to the same type indicator, are: Security Seeking Personalities: who are the rule followers and enforcers, seeking stability, do hard work, and like routine. These people make up 40-45% of the population. Sensation Seeking Personalities…

Sounds too passive. Putting it on her wall will show her you will go for what you want and are confident (as you don't care other people seeing it), and giving her number can go either way.. I'd still recommend getting it yourself.

/r/seduction02/11/10 07:01 AM

In your given situation, I wouldn't give my number to her. In a generic situation, I'm pretty sure the community has no clear answer for it. Some would say giving your number would be weak, but I'm more in favour of saying it says something about your confidence. It seems a bit more confident on your part if you give your number, and assume that she'll contact you. I've done it before and it's worked out, but there have been other times where you won't hear from them. It's your call.
/r/seduction02/11/10 06:49 AM

It's not a big deal, so you should keep this in perspective. You're just going to meet up as friends for coffee, though it's easy to take it past that level once you're actually there. I'd still recommend the facebook message, even on her wall: "Hey, I've been busy this past week, but I'm free friday at noon for that coffee." If you decide to go the chance route, when you run into her, just ask if she's got a phone. She'll say yes, and you can say "great, let me see it". Take it, put your number…
/r/seduction02/11/10 06:29 AM

Oh, I assumed you got her number when you bumped into her on campus. Send her a facebook message along those lines, or possibly a message saying "What's your number?"/"Give me your number" (which has surprisingly worked, even though it's so blunt and out of the blue). If you don't even have that, then put her on the back burner and see what else comes up until you run into her again.

This is all well and good that you god lucky by having enough alcohol, aiming for a lesser attractive girl, and being in the right place at the right time.. but why is this on seduction? This should be either under /r/congratulations or /r/teenageromp.
/r/seduction02/11/10 02:30 AM

Don't ask when she's free. Say you'll be at selected coffee shop around selected hour doing selected activity and that she should join you if she wants to have a fun chat with an interesting guy. If she declines and doesn't suggest another place, say "That's too bad" and wait for another chance occurence or for her to come to you.

Hold eye contact, smile, and say "Hi". then ask them a question or make an observation about something. You could also say "Hey, come here for a second" and they'll likely do it. I did this at the bar just for shits and giggles with an HB8: "hey, come here for a second! Purple or Red?" "Purple?" "Oh, ew. Nevermind, you can keep going" I'm not sure of the effect, but I thought it was funny.
/r/seduction28/10/10 10:57 PM

to expand what you said: I'd recommend what Deangelo says and do the date-within-a-date thing where you take them from the venue you meet at to another venue. This way, you arrive together and you are in the same group, psychologically. Her defenses are down and you should be on better footing.

What a cunt! How do you know this chick? You shouldn't give away your precious, uber-valuable time away to such peasants, and you definitely should never consider even offering them it. 1: Don't ask, tell that she should if she wants to have a good time. You're going to do things anyway, and you're a fun time. 2: ignore her. Don't respond at all and move on. Keep flirting with her in person and build attraction, but talk about other girls you're seeing, etc. Two can play the "seeing other people" game. But, make no mistake, you're seeing other people and she's not a primary, so it has the double function.

I'm afraid of becoming a keyboard jockey because of getting into a LTR within the past month or so. I am still learning, so I want to get out there and start gaming again as a wing, etc. But the seddit locator seems to fail for the waterloo area, as I'd like to see other people in action who know waht they're doing/the theory. To further that last paragraph, it can be fun(ny) to use a point system. "what? you went to the moon? well.. I suppose you might have earned 5 cool points, but don't let that get to your head! It's a physical place, you speak with your body more than your words, and only few words if you have to. Speak through expressions and joking movements, etc. Assuming you didn't just try that on the dance floor, it just seems like you're not really engaging her and are more talking about your friend. Why the median? What does that even mean in this context? If anything, You'd think the mean per month for the past year, or the total in the past year.. and even that wouldn't be objective because the really successful guys would have a huge number that they don't keep track of. I agree with what you're saying, but I've always had a line of thought that I have been toying with: Is it possible for someone to have enough game that they can sleep with most women? I've come to the conclusion that in-the-moment emotions beat long-term emotions (i.e. feelings towards a boyfriend), which beat logic. You don't logic a woman into having sex with you, nor do you get her to love you and then fuck you. You get her to be attracted to you (in-the-moment) and then have sex with her. I…

I vote you either cancel the plans citing that you're too busy, or when she contacts you after the fact and is like "sorry for not cancelling!" or w/e, play it off like you forgot you even had plans. Laugh about how eccentric your mom can be, and show yourself to be socially competent. Then just take it away with all the other good stuff. Bragging would be, as z-bag said, tellling people that you are good at something(s) without being asked about it. Being modest, you could subtly drop a conversational hook (something that makes them want to know more and ask about it (e.g. "I was in the airport and these men detained me. The thing about wisdom is it is lost on those who do not already understand it. See Plato's Allegory of the Cave. I'd say that if you need alcohol in the equation, you haven't done your homework enough. I personally try to go for the sober ones and rarely have any alcohol in me when I go out. I find liquor just slows my ability to think and react, so it just makes me feel off. But to focus for women, I think the community in general thinks that you shouldn't do anything with a girl who is drunk that they haven't done already when she was sober. It only leads to resentment and buyers remorse.

A general rule of thumb I've learned in my years of studying psychology is that you can't really accept what people say. Another powerful psychological technique to sticking to your plans: Write it down, and sign it. Writing it down makes it concrete, signing it makes it verifiable that it's your goal. To further it, you could make it public knowledge with your name signed, but in this realm of improvement, that may be detrimental... You can use it if you want, but it's mostly just a bag of fall-back tricks. Use your discretion, obviously. And wow, you almost lost me by referring to Mystery as Erik.

It may be at first, but it gets easier. I highly recommend throwing yourself into the club scene, though. I used to hate it and avoid it, but now I'm much more comfortable there and can just go to have a good time if I choose. One thing you'll realize while you're there: Most people don't really want to be there. Just take a look around and most people are looking around like they want to leave or are uncomfortable. So, if you're comfortable, you've got that leg up.
/r/seduction04/10/10 11:55 PM

For me, Tyler Durden's Blueprint Decoded helped a lot. The stuff by Deangelo is good because he says you should be on at all times and not just limit being alpha/awesome to the club scene. Ross Jeffries has a youtube account with some useful stuff, and he's all about daytime/non-club scene. Most of the stuff, in general, is geared towards the club, but it's mostly transferable with some minor tweaks.

I think you could pull it off if you do it casually and confidently enough. Be aware, however, that pulling off day game usually requires a false time constraint. If you don't let the girl know that you're not trapping her, she'll act like an animal backed into a corner and be creeped the hell out. Learned that lesson the awkward way.

Most people, maybe.. But "The Game" is for beginners and is really rudimentary/juvenile pickup. It's a performance; it's not an interaction. That's not to say it isn't effective, however.. It's just not my cup of tea. Edit: Also, the working definition of "Art" and "artist" are both incredibly malleable. If I'm into pickup and I'm an artist in another area, could one call me a pickup artist? :P

Do not talk about it. Just let it ride. Talking about these things is AFC and gives them the ability to be like "wtf, I'm not into you!" etc. Just deal with them platonically, talk about the women you're actually interested in, talk about non-sexual things, such as bowling. If you hang out, bring other friends with you, including women.

What? I'm saying that you should ask PUA's how it works because they'll probably have better insight into the whole process and be more understanding about things than your average girl or guy. Something I thought about recently is that girls are just as manipulative as PUA's when it comes to playing the game, they just always have done it. For instance, it's not seen as hugely manipulative and wrong when one girl asks another how long she should wait to call a guy, or how long to wait to have s…

I don't think the question is all that relevant. As I said here, I think it's more important whether they're a PUA of sorts, or a natural. That being said, I agree with what im_a_walrus_B said.
/r/seduction01/10/10 08:22 PM
2

There's a big difference between asking women what they want and PUA's. Women typically have an intrinsic understanding about the system, whereas PUA's have a somewhat in-depth understanding of the system through breaking it down. My point is that asking women what they like/react to is like acting a natural how he does something; Neither of them understands, they just act.

My god, that is painful to read. This site has some pretty good advice on the topic.
/r/seduction01/10/10 05:16 AM

I agree that that sort of thing is dickish. Sometimes you should playfully say you're not holding her stuff, other times you could just be nice and do it. I disagree, however, that the entire PUA approach should be jettisoned. You should always keep the more positive aspects alive and thriving.
/r/seduction01/10/10 01:59 AM

RooshV and Roissy both seem to be in the same vein of extremeness. Reading their stuff sometimes feels like a weird variant of Rush or O'brien. From what I've read, it's partially useful, but takes the asshole game waay too far. I'm not sure what their long-term game is because it's like they plan to constantly be fucking random women forever and that'd be that. If that was the case, it seems like they're going to spend excessive energy, indefinitely, and be disliked by many.
/r/seduction01/10/10 01:39 AM
7

This seems like garbage. There will always be dooms-dayists around, and Rooshv seems to have jumped on the bandwagon. Times will change, yes, but I don't think things will radically go this down hill. The game has changed only modestly in the past few millenia and it won't go so radically different again. There are still social pressures keeping women from being "sluts" etc.

Note: Keep at your discretion as the relationship matures. It's ok to do small breaks in alphaness at times, but only if you maintain a solid, general front of alpha. Do not follow her around like a lost dog; Keep the reigns of control firmly in your grip. Use sex to control her, instead of the converse. Let her know you're busy when you are, etc. etc. It's a really precarious game.

It's perfectly acceptable to decide your own worth, mate. Others will try to define what you're worth, but so long as you reject it and hold the frame that you're valuable, everything generally works out. You'll notice people pay more attention to you when you walk up straight, etc. and all that's associated with thinking you're valuable. Carry yourself like you're capable of making anybody - especially women - feel good, and you will be more capable of it. The reason your analogies fail is that…

For point three: your external state will reflect your internal state, and vice versa. You can't directly control your internal state, but consciously changing your external state to that of the body language of someone who's happy will influence your internal. That's what reading body language is all about, really. Their physical orientation reflects how they're feeling.
/r/seduction25/09/10 05:05 PM

This stems further than attracting women, my friend. Have you ever heard the phrase: happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have? It's quite true, but that's not to say you should give up on women and be satisfied with what you clearly are not satisfied with. The problem here is that you need to be happy with who you are and satisfied with who you are before women will give you the time of day. Pickup is all geared towards people in your situation, so you should make the bes…

/r/seduction25/09/10 04:56 PM

I like your everything you said. Everything, except where you sah that he wants a woman who "actually is of higher value". Higher-value is purely perceptually based - it's subjective and not objective. Someone can have every objective thing that should make them higher value, but can still be a wuss. If there was such an objective measurement, we couldn't be happy in relationships. The happiest relationship would be two people who both view their partner to be higher value than themselves.
/r/seduction25/09/10 04:56 PM

Quite right. It's difficult telling people you're into pickup or you're a PUA when they just assume that means you're all about picking up girls, using them, and leaving them feeling dirty. Though, I can't find a better way of putting it other than saying I study social dynamics and leadership.

Here's where your metaphor fails: with the bad, non-native speaking student, you were readily trying to pick things up and weren't sure if they knew what they were saying or not. That is to say, you were trying to learn from them. Social Cognitive theory states that we can learn by observation, yes. BUT, and this is the main thing, we also learn what not to do when people are witnessed being ridiculed for their behaviour. In this particular example, I'm obviously ridiculing the man in the video …

I'd expand it further - it helps you project your personality more, just like a vocal coach would teach someone to project their voice. You can weild it more skillfully and open anybody up to conversation. A good compliment to PU is Dale Carnegie, but I only really mix the two when dealing with men and children. (The conversational side of pickup; to get anyone talking). As you're basically saying: You've got to fake it to make it. Ironically, faking alpha is beta. But you have to keep doing it …

There is quite a bit of doubt in the book near the end, I'd say. Pretty much near the end they become clones of the big personalities, sarge-out their immediate area, and he ultimately throws the game aside for the bandmate girl. It's pretty much all called into question by the end and leaves you wondering what is the next step. Basically, I see this as the end of canned material. I like deangelo's approach to this better. You simply say "Come on, let's go" to her, then she'll follow. When she asks where you're going, you look at her like she's a dork and say "..Just come on" and lead her to do whatever you were going to do. I'd recommend that one, or being a little more overt by saying "Hey, i'm gong to do this. Come on". Final variant: make it a choice where the answer is obvious (e.g., "I'm going to get coffee. I'm not suggesting we lie to ourselves about hte ratings of our girls; I'm suggesting exactly the opposite. What I'd rather is that we have it a bit more accurate, by expanding the scale. You're probably right about hte standard distribution of attractiveness for a single person's perception, but I think you fail to realize that attractiveness varies from person to person, so there may actually be greater than 5% of girls are above a 7. She just needs to come up with you to the group and be cool. She is not to promote you like you're a product. This gives off an awkward "He's great, but I don't want him" vibe that makes them question why she doesn't want them. Ultimately, she's just a wingperson. The same as a wingman. She is to help you isolate the target by keeping the rest of the group entertained.

Those are all bullshit, except possibly the sexual hang-ups. They can all be bypassed so long as you build enough attraction. There are a few ways to get around this, like introducing sexual topics, misinterpretations, or "quoting" people. Quoting is a Ross Jeffries technique where you can say extremely overt/crass sexual remarks and get away with it, while still having her think about such things in the context of you (E.g. "You wouldn't beleive what I heard this guy say at the bar yesterday! H…

Why can't you playfully punch her back? Safe places should be fine, so long as you really don't whale on her (which would consist mostly of thigh, hips, stomach, and shoulders). Wrestle her to the ground and try to pin her. Tons of kino, and you can assert your dominance. If you dont' think you could beat her at pinning, take a couple lessons in judo or a similar grappling-focused martial art.

I don't think it even achieves that because his goal was never to succeed. He purposefully blew it every time. It's basically an excuse to fail because his ego was never on the line. AA is a fear of failure, but you can't fear failure when that's the goal.

What's wrong with asking for advice when you're unsure of something? I agree with the "worshiping her" part, but not really with your read of the "stalker" joke, or thinking that you can trust exactly what they say. That doesn't seem too bad, but as they've said around here before, the goal is to do the opposite of what an AFC would do, sometimes at least. happiness and confidence comes from positive experiences, depression comes from negative experiences. I don't agree with this. Happiness, as I currently accept it, is wanting what you have, not having what you want. To add to that, and take a bit from yours, I'd say it is the perception of having good experiences because even a potentially bad experience can give you something to take away from it, and your interpretation will designate its positive/negative quality. Vice versa for depression, e…

You seem to be saying: why can't we be ourselves? I'm myself and it works for a bit, then fails! As Ross Jeffries has said, when you say "I don't want to be something I'm not", you're giving away all of your capacity to change. You are cementing yourself into what you currently are, and cannot change with new times or information because that would be something you are not currently.

True, but as I've said around before, you could just be a more viable option. She could be perfectly happy with her current guy, but you're better. There is a minimum standard people need before they leave their bf/gf. So long as their current is above that standard and you aren't HUGELY better, she'll stay with him. Say she requires a 6, he's a 7, and you're an 8.5, for argument sake. She will talk bad about him to you to get your attention. On the other hand, talking about other men to you mea…

As I see it, it's not our decision about whether you should bother with her or not, as some guys are treating this like. To address your question: If you treat this like a case of oneitis, it might work in your favor. That is, see other women and get some space, as she's going to need it. The more you interact with her in a non-sexual/relationship way, the more of a "friend" you'll become. You both likely need some space to sort things out. Two Suggestions: Conversation hooks: You leave something intriguing open-ended, and make them ask about it. If they never do, don't go back to it; let it linger there in their mind. E.g. The other day I was in the airport leaving to Europe and these men came up and said "Excuse me, Box-Monkey, but you need to come with us. We have something very important to talk to you about". Canned stuff is a good way to begin and get some experience, but eventually you need to learn how to do things yourself and just put yourself out there a bit. You want to be like water; fluid, unyeilding, and dynamic. If you do get into canned material, be careful to learn why this stuff works and not just blindly following it. The goal should be to be able to work with whatever the environment gives you, but that's much easier said than done.

I gotta say I completely disagree with imisunderstandyou. It is about being a better person in general, becoming alpha, getting your damn life in control. As I see it, a main goal is to be able to have sex readily available so that it can no longer be used as a bargaining chip. You can leave the relationship without fear of doing without (like a lot of guys I've met have done). They cling to the bad relationship because they don't know where their next "meal" will come from, and this is a terrib…

Kino, DHV, don't be clingy, invite her to things by saying "hey, i'm going here. You should come if you want to have fun" or whatever. Don't go out of your way to see her. Act confidently. Escalate Kino and be honest if she ever asks where you see this going.

I see your point, but I don't think it's quite that harsh. It's like "here's how you do it, now try." then they say "But I don't want to fall down! How do I not fall down?! Tell me how!!" and you already did. They just need to get the neural networks built on their own by actually doing. "just be confident" is such unconscious competent advice. It helps no one because conscious incompetent individuals have always been trying to do that, but failing. Core beliefs are very difficult to change, so simply saying "be confident" won't help. Really, they need to get out and do, while trying to digest the theory.

I am kind of torn in my decision. mnmn makes a good point that we're just being jerks like "READ THE SIGN!!" instead of actually interactively helping. On the other hand, it has been said in a way, many times, and continually repeating ourselves is getting tiring. Overall, I suppose giving a quick bit of advice and then linking might help, but just linking should be fine in the end.

I find that telling a story after walking up and breaking hte ice is pretty good. Avoids interview mode, doesn't show too much interest other than you're looking to have a good time and tell a story. To me, it seems like the public speaking in is the clear winner for women. Now, think about the contexts: one is you, with a mic, addressing an unseen group of people. People will presume there's a large number, since it appears to be outside. The picture of a leader, really. You're addressing people and you're doing something that most people are terrified of AND you seem comfortable doing it. Picture two: you're inside, on your way out and surprised. You're being a bit narrow here, man. Women aren't men. They're much more cerebral when it comes to attraction. If you're the most beautiful man in the world, but you're a clown... No sex. You have to build anticipation, suspense, and sexual pressure. Kino is a big component in that.

TAPUA's suggestion is great, but I find the "FUCK OFF!!" just so hilarious, I'm goign to use that next time. Worst that happens, typically, is people are like "why.. are.. you.. talking to me??" and then you tell a story and ignore that, which breaks that shit wide open like an axe to wood.

Despite skinny's funny comment, I think standard PU approaches will work. Silvertongue has a point: it's all into the interpretation and delivery of the PUA. Build enough rapport, be cocky funny, misinterpret her things in sexual/funny ways (not too groty, but some guys have recommended that to me), kino with her (a must or you will risk LJBF), and look at the kino escalation ladder. Hope this helps.

I don't think physical attraction is all that big of a drawback if you're charming enough. He probably didn't build enough comfort, and/or was far too aggressive with it. Maybe he's terrible at kino escalation (Go straight for the pants!) or tried something really weird (in her eyes)

It's not a good place to be in, man. I feel for you. I'd say a good bulk of PU is to learn to accept yourself and to be confident, which everyone can use. As a friend of mine said, "Confidence is never wrong!". It's good that you're in therapy, and I hope it helps you. The only recommendation I can give to you now is to be a little more open-minded. Wait, are you male or female? Women initiating the "neg" of stalker to men would be a terrible thing. If the guy initiates, I feel it's digging into Jeffries approach of entering their reality and showing dominance over it, as well as flipping the script. You're demonstrating, if you do it right, that you, too, have had stalkers and don't need another one. Any particularly attractive woman has probably had one or two along the way.

Wealth? Common man, wealth isn't necessary and from what I've seen you post, you seem like you'd know this. It's not about what you buy or flash around a woman, it's how you make her feel. As Durden put it, Wealth will get a niche set of women just like being extremely jacked will get women. Some women are extremely turned on by it, but it's not a selling point for others. In my opinion, using wealth seems to be a cover-up for your insecurities and forces you to qualify yourself.

It would seem like you're asking for quite a bit. And by that, I mean that you're literally asking when you should be either telling or suggesting. "Hey! Let's get coffee sometime. Here, put your number in my phone and we'll set something up later" Asking leads to an easy out on her part, and it's much more passive than it is leading. Both will increase the likelihood of her saying "No"

I think she could think you to be a better option than her current boyfriend, so she bashes him when he's not around and throws herself at you, but doesn't have the balls to leave him. You're high-value, remember that. You don't need this girl, especially if she's trying to swing from tree to tree. Find someone else.

You fucked up by labelling it. I find it safest to just keep things as a get-together or whatever.. just don't label it. You're meeting for a concert, or coffee, or whatever, and things just happen. Things develop, and BAM, you're there. Labeling has never helped anything in my experience - it has only hurt. In the future, just let things go without labeling (i.e. Thanks for a great time). Also.. Paying for her? boo! As for what to do now, I can't see how to fix it other than getting on good ter…

I think you're approaching this the wrong way, my friend. You should be strong and have unwavering confidence. THAT is the goal, not being centered around the girl. By centering it around them, you're leaving yourself quite vulnerable to external influences and outcomes. The main goal should be to be stable in your confidence by basing it on yourself. A video i'd highly recommend to shatter your current frame would be Tyler Durden's Blueprint Decoded_-_The_Blueprint_Decoded_DVDs). Sure, it's len…

You know, you don't need to pay for speed dating to get practice. Just talk to anyone and everyone around you. In the line at the grocery store? talk to the old lady in front of you (or if it's a hotty and she's looking at the gum, say "HEY! What're you doing?!" as if she's a child that did something wrong, then continue with it), etc. etc.

I disagree. Studies show that the number one drive of people is to be consistent with who they think they are. The more you do something, the more it's ingrained in your self-concept; the more you lash out and release your anger, the more likely you are to release it at inappropriate times. They actually suggest you find effective coping mechanisms and holding in your rage because it'll lead to better self-control and healthy coping in the future.

I disagree. For one, call her to set up the date, but preface it by texting her during the day some funny, high-response value things (things she wants to respond to), then be the last to receive a text. Wait a couple hours, then call (probably around 6 or 7 (too early to be out, too late to be eating, generally)). So, it all depends on your intent. Do you just want to have sex with her? If so, you could compromise your morals and keep the facade going. Another option would be to take her out un…

The only thing I have to say, really, is that you shouldn't ask to dance, but rather say "let's go dance!" after you've built a little rapport. It takes much more effort to say no to a command than to a question. It's a hypnosis technique too; you make more and more absurd statements, but only to the point where it's easier to go along with it than to say "no" EDIT: Oh yeah, Way to be a downer, eh? Obviously, good job! Keep up the good work! You did a lot of great things, it sounds like!

This has the drawback of easily allowing them to say "no" and making you seem somewhat insecure, so you have to deliver it right. You could rephrase it like "woah, watch out for this one! She seems like she could kill you with a glance!"

The only things i can think to add: The truly powerful are willing to let go of their power and let others take charge temporarily. It is the insecurely powerful that feel the need to constantly crack the whip for fear of losing it. Keep that in mind when being alpha; it's okay to let others lead in the short-term. and The only way to make people trustworthy is to treat them as if they already were. This is not to say that people will always become trustworthy if you treat them with it, but that…

I think the "be yourself" boils down to two different groups, both of which are too far gone to help beginners at the very start. The first group would be unconscious competent people (aka naturals) who, for them, only they have to walk up and talk, like you said. This advice is terrible, though I've been semi-guilty of saying it as I've had that revelation recently. The second group would be those who are so far into PUA info that they can no longer relate, like the naturals, to beginners. The …

Doing what quazzy suggested can work a bit. Just sit in a place and people watch while trying to make guesses about their character. If you're really bold, you can make your guesses, then go up and ask them a question. A perfect combination would be doing this and Mystery's "opinion" approach. Good point. Edit: Though, the particular girl that's doing this to me is almost undeniably interested in me. I can see the strengths of both sides. Not being limited to the "gaming locations" would be optimal, but clubbing scenes are a different feel, a bit more intimidating than the outside-club world. In the club, I'd say getting warmed up would be good where doing the 3-approach combo would probably help warm up the night if you show up early. But if you're coming to a club after it's arleady happening, I'd go for the hottest. Option: approaching girls before you get to your desired location and war…

I'm not criticizing you, I'm just saying there are limitations to your approach. The essential breakdown is that you're relying on external factors to make yourself feel good, which may be fine for now, but you'll constantly be searching for your next fix. Don't get me wrong, hitting the gym and dressing better can be nice, but do it for yourself and not for others.

You shouldn't ignore anything per se, but for now you would probably be best by picking ~2 theorists, getting a slight handle on them, and just sarging to the extreme. Going for more than that will probably turn you into a keyboard jockey and hinder your development more than anything. I'd recommend going to torrent sites and finding what you can on a combination of Mystery/Ross Jeffries, or DeAngelo/Tyler Durden.

Seems like you might be coming down with a case of oneitis, man. The most I recommend you do would be to text her something witty and with response value. Read the ultimate texting guide, It's a quick read and helps a lot with this shit. But only one text, and if you don't get a response, write her off. It might be best to write her off now, but you seem set on her for some reason. If she noticed you following her and was actively avoiding you, call it all off now.

haha You're really into the Mystery Method, eh Cleveland? I agree, though, it seems you gave them too much leeway in your approach, which made you seem lower value than them. Though, DeAngelo would say approaching the hottest girls in the bar is a good tactic because it sets the bar as to what your value is and allows you to have greater opportunity with the other girls in the bar.

No. Don't try. Do. Under think this and, I'm not usually to this line of thinking but, think with the wrong head. Be like Nike.

Then don't make it obvious that you're coming onto her. Don't label things as dates or coming onto her! If you have a moment where you could lean in to kiss her, do it! If she backs off you could just say that it felt right or some bullshit about chemistry, etc. I'm wondering if it's even possible to have your inner world not affect your outer world. Even if you think you're being entirely veiled, something will give it away, even if it's awkward motions, tense body language, etc. Essentially, y…

Smart, yes; Talented, not necessarily, but it doesn't hurt; Confident? Well, that's what we can help bestow through advice. Majority of PUA seems to be bestowing confidence and proper framing.

Yeah, that would be a more specific version of what she's looking for, I'd say. But after rephrasing it, why didn't you answer it?

Honestly, I think the worst thing you did was apologize, especially for such a trivial thing. For one, never apologize. It's low value. The only time to apologize is when you've legitimately fucked up and you value the relationship. For two, you blew the game you could've built off such a.. bizarre message. A good approach would be like what MyNewName said: "They go around having one-night pokes, without meaning anything to the person." Right now, you need to work on your framing. Stop seeing th…

I second that last paragraph. You didn't screw up, you just ran an experiment and found sub-optimal results. Collect your data, interpret it, and move on, modifying your variables as you go.

Boo! Move on! Show her you're valuable and don't need her. Enjoy yourself with other women, demonstrate your value. Valuable property doesn't sell to the first bidder, but the highest one - which comes after a long series of sequentially higher bids :P

Another approach is to use facebook as social proof. Constantly add girls, flirt with girls on facebook, setup dates on it as well. You're hot property, you're not commited, this brings in the scarcity principle. They'd better get while the getting's good or they'll be out of luck.

Hear, hear. Man up and tell them if it comes up. Otherwise, it's her fault for not asking. Buyer beware.

I agree. The only way I could see that being improved is if he had said "you must be excited to hear from me" or something that framed it in a more confident way, otherwise I don't see anything wrong with what he said.

A simple side-step, but still addressing it could work: Her: "OMG do you straighten/blowdry your hair!?" You: "If you had to guess, what would you say?" then, no matter what she answers, razz her on it. "I don't think you straighten it" "really? you think this looks this good naturally?" so, you're not addressing it directly, but you're having fun with it. Eventually, she'll probably try to squeeze it out of you. At that point, it's your choice to say "You'll never know; It's a secret" or actual…

I agree with everything above. In addition, most of the effect of PU theory is to come off as confident. Saying it simply makes you more confident or the "tricks" work would be erroneous or extremely difficult to even tease them apart because the whole system is to come off as an in control, high-value person - AKA a confident person. In turn, acting confident will make someone feel more confident and creating a reverse a vicious cycle.

Sounds like you missed the boat, stud. It would seem you've lost some of the air in your sails and are holding yourself back. Just put yourself out there and see where it takes you is all I can say. I also agree with melbatoast.

It seems to me like you've become too confident in your ability and feel that everyone is open to you, that they know of your ability and will do what you want without your trying. It is tempting to fall into once you've had a lot of success, but I suppose you know the choice you have to make: keep playing the game as it's always been played, or try to quirk it up with your new approach and get some thrills. Find a real freak and you'll be golden.

You'd actually promote putting just a smiley face? That seems just as bad as your bad example. I'd suggest something cocky/teasing in such a situation: Her: "hey, wanna get together?" You: "Only if you promise not to embarass me in public :P" The face I put is just to make sure she knows you're jokingly being an asshole; it's not for approval, just tone. Also, you're making it seem like you have the power in the situation.

You should want to "Win" the text. The goal of texting should never be to hold a conversation. You call or meet up for such activities; texting is for getting her to think about you. That being said, you also want her to think of you in a positive light. You want to keep everything on a high-note, quick, witty/teasing, positive, and have high respondability. That is, you want it to be something she's both capable of responding to and wants to respond to. Once you have all of those components, tr…

Agreed. It's easy to compare yourself to other people. You will always be able to find how someone else has it easier than you. That hobo? He has no responsibility. That legless man? Doesn't have to worry about pants. Learn the rules of the game so you can play efficiently because, as breakneckridge says, you can't change 'em.
