I find it very relevant in terms of seduction. Masturbation breeds complacency. Just try it; don't jerk off for a month and see how much more willing you are to approach/talk to/attract women. If basic motivation for female company is sex, one can imagine that rampant masturbation to internet porn might decrease one's appetite for the real thing.

Also, self-improvement; learning to transcend one's pleasure mechanisms.

Testosterone levels will have an impact on whether you feel like approaching women and I think it's fair to say that by not masturbating you will have an increased level of confidence and higher chances of getting some. However, this is only one single factor. It's much more important for you to be generally confident in yourself, to dress well, to know how to talk to women, to keep fit, to have an active social life and to be good in bed. Stopping masturbating alone is not going to get you laid.

Since this is talking about the level of testosterone in semen, is it true to say that one's own hormone levels internally also increase? I've read that filling your woman with testosterone-rich semen is great for an LTR but is this report saying that abstinence for a 7 days will give me, personally, a great testosterone boost?

OKAY y'all need to look at the science that's actually going on here. See this comment thread at TIL. I'm a chemist/pharmacologist. Basically, while overall testosterone level does increase by an average of 45.7%, quite significant, the additional amount that is physiologically available to the body is only a small fraction of total serum level. I don't think the physiologically available ("free") testosterone figures were published, but I don't have access to the full article.

I'd like to see the data for an even greater duration of ejaculatory abstinence, and also the free testosterone figures.

Just pointing out, the article says ejaculation, not masturbation. This goes from ejaculation via sex too.

So really, it means nothing either way with regards to seduction.

This is kind of stupid. There's no evidence that increased testosterone will make you better at pickup. One could argue that ejaculating before you go out will make you more relaxed, which might make you better at pickup.

this raises an interesting question. According to the book "Passages" by Gail Sheehy, young apes trying to climb the social ladder have higher levels of testosterone than the alpha ape at the top. That's the because the alpha ape at the top is getting laid constantly, while the aspiring apes are still trying to "make it." So, the question is whether it's better health wise (physiologically, psychologically) to have high levels of testosterone. I think it is. It might not make much difference when you are younger, but if you look at old fags who have low testosterone they are much less healthy than old fags who still work out and have a decent level.

The take away is this: Assuming I don't get mines more organically, I'm only going to masturbate once a week now.
