In my dealings in politics I have come across the absolutely simplest way to take your game and your dealings with alpha males way less abrasive:

Every time you introduce yourself, use your first AND last name.

Note: It makes you sound like a douche if you are one of those people who introduces yourself early and/or often. Late game, when they finally ask you your name, it's golden.

There are rather obvious reasons for this: - Makes you sound more important, almost implies that they should have heard that name before - It subconsciously implies confidence - Builds a sense of trust - Less people tend to forget you or your name - Is not something many people do, and it is always well noted.
