Meh. I bought it pretty early on in my PUA journey...read it a month or two later, and found that I'd already learned everything it had to offer from random online browsing and reading. It's definitely not high on my list of recommendations. It's a reasonable overview, but it's poorly written (as almost everything in PUA literature is, except The Game), and is definitely not cutting edge material. It's pretty much the basics as taught by all the major PUA experts.

You'd be better off spending an evening reading the "New to seddit" post, and asking seddit your specific questions that prevent you from approaching. Then get out there are practice. Come back when you have some rejections under your belt, and we'll help you figure out why things went wrong and how you can do better than next time.
