Let me preface this by saying I've been pulling from this subreddit without really contributing. I would like to change that so this is my first FR. I did not create any new connections tonight But I would like talk about it none the less.
My buddy and I start the night with a game to get us in state by pointing out women for each other to open. He called me out on a HB9 in a group of 6 women. This place is very loud and talking almost impossible so going direct is the only real possibility. I grabbed her and pulled her for dancing. We danced for a bit but she eventually took an opportunity to turn away after I was being too physical. As soon as she left I grabbed a drink and opened another hb7.
I am a little lost as far as building attraction in a really loud setting when talking is not a possibility... I am tall (6'5) I try to yell as loud as possible but I find myself pecking constantly in an attempt to communicate. I ran into an HB8 that I have been gaming from the previous weekend via text we danced and were making out for a good hour+... During this I got a lot of solid eye contact from the previous hb9 and a few other hb9 and one hb10. Seeing this I introduced myself to another guy wandering on the dance floor and had him take my place saying I was going to get a drink.
I approached the hb10 and got blown out Instantly even though she had been giving me looks all night. I grabbed her walking saying "HEY" before I could even finish she turned away and continued walking. I got a similar shut down from one of the others. How do you open these types in such a loud environment, It seems impossible to go indirect so I never try it. I then called my buddy out who rarely gets shut down because of his looks and she blew him out as well. WTF... she seems un-approachable. I caught an hb8 after that by showing her a picture on my phone and saying "Isn't this the cutest dog you have ever seen" We talk (read me yelling at the top of my lungs) she says she is a barcadi model and I laugh at her saying "yeah me too see these hands? I'm the hand model for bacardi." I eventually number close her but it does not seem too solid as I have trouble building comfort in an environment like this.
I could talk more about the other successes and number closes I had tonight but I don't feel I did anything special. All I do is make intense eye contact and use body language and my large frame to dominate the situation. I occasionally release the tension with a push or a turn... What do you guys want to see in a field report? Success stories? Revelations? Failures? more detail? give me suggestions and ill improve in my next FR. I am very aware of the concepts but I have learned applying them is the only true way to learn and in that I consider myself a newbie in the cold approach.
