Don't blame your ethnicity. Many who are good with girls get nervous going solo.
I can not tell you why you are nervous, but I can guess. You are going in without any friends, making you nervous that people will think you are some sort of weirdo. Stop caring what people think, force yourself out of comfort zone and you will be fine. A good thing to do is to talk to people the second you walk in the bar (bouncer or bartender are good ones). When you go out alone don't worry about picking up girls as much as just talking to everyone the first few times.

Where are you located? Try using Seddit and a couple other forums (maybe the lovesystems one?) to find a wingman or two. Or when you go out focus on grabbing a couple numbers, not just girls. That way you at least have a couple people to hit up when you go out even if you end up just seeing them out on the town.

And I really hope you're trolling about the whole Indian/brown thing. As a fellow man with an awesome tan I assure its not holding you back ;-)

Well, I'd say you're going to have to sample a wingman from within your circle of friends. If a close enough friend to be a wingman isn't present in said circle, you could try to work on improving your circle of friends (be it in size or intimacy).
