So I just moved up to the big city, and I'm really loving the change of pace. I'm trying to actively meet new people, but I still have my approach AA that I never truly shook. There are beautiful girls everywhere around here, but I feel like when I see them in the street, I'm not really in the mood to hit on them so they're probably not in the mood to be receptive.

Case in point, just was walking the few blocks to the store when a girl walking her dog walked past. We make eye contact and I give a smirk... I wanted to say something so bad and should have just commented on the dog, "Beautiful dog, the owner is not so bad, either," but I just couldn't get the words out of my mouth.

What would you guys have said in this situation? How do I open most random girls just walking down the street during the day? Do you find girls to be receptive during normal business hours, or should I stick to just going out at night?
