So I just came out of a LTR and am beginning to get back in the game. At the moment my main objective is just to be more social and open, in the hopes of meeting people and making friends (the LTR and changing cities has left me kind of alone).

For the past couple of days I've been concentrating on being very open and social. I've been trying to keep a good welcoming smile on my face whenever I'm around people and making an effort to talk to other people. I still haven't really cold-opened any sets, but I've definitely seen a change in my attitude and others' attitude towards me. Yesterday I casually talked for a while with the girl that works at the hair removal place I go to, with which I had only crossed a couple of words before. Today I talked with the security guy at my office twice and it also went very well.

I've also been trying to keep eye-contact with people I cross on the street while maintaining the smile. This has worked wonders, with several girls maintaining eye-contact with me and smiling back. I know the next step is to just go ahead and talk to them, but I first want to feel confident that I'm giving the right friendly vibe. Perhaps today that I'm going to an Irish pub for St.Patrick's I'll try to open a couple of sets.
