When's the right time to get the date and/or number on OKC?

as a girl, who uses/used OKC, i will offer my two cents here... i'd say generally after about... 3-4 messages, shoot her your number. i know its sort of lame to do this in real life (you should always get the girls number, so that way you are in control) but the interweb is a different game. you don't want to come off creepy. texting is easier than using OKC, so you can use that excuse as well. i would also say that after about this same time, you have the green light to ask for a date. most people on that site will not waste the time giving you 3 responses if they aren't at least interested in you as a person. it is better to phrase your request for a date as a casual hangout.. here are some lines that have worked ON me on that site... 1. "would you like to hangout sometime?" - this makes it casual, no pressure. 2. "So, you fancy meeting up somewhere? Been to the Burger Stand before?" - ok this one isn't the best, but i did meet up with this guy. he had an idea, and that place is good as shit.

additional tips: 1. if you talk to a girl on the IM/Chat thing.. that is a good way to ask for a date. its real time, so it isn't so awkward. 2. don't be TOO spontaneous... it will freak a girl out. girls want to be prepared for a first date. they need a little time. 3. make sure you actually have a CONVERSATION with her. none of this "how was your day?" or "wow, you are pretty" bullshit. that means nothing. a bum on the street corner can say the same thing to me, and i def don't wanna date a bum. get it? you need to share something in common and be able to talk about real stuff, not the weather. unless she is into meteorology.. ;) 4. don't be too pushy. i had a guy pester me about when i would be back in town so that we could go on a date.. no bueno. after the date, he then pestered me about hanging out again. needless to say, we haven't hung out a second time.

If she's in your area, do it after about 4 messages. (or a day's worth). Worked for me. Though in my case instead of asking for her number, I threw her mine and TOLD her I was going to take her out. She replied later with a very favorable text message. There isn't one specific method, more just feeling the right moment BUT don't wait too long.
