Hey, there, Seddit! Long time lurker, but this is my first post. I'm a dude with some decent game, but reading seddit has taught me great specific tips, and all about kino.

A little bit of background: The target is an HB8 who works in my office, but in a different unit. About a month ago, at some office event, I spent 45 minutes chatting her and her friend, a super nice AFC, up. No game to speak of, but I left the encounter thinking I wanted to see more of her.

Yesterday, I had to go up to where she works to do some research, and thought I'd swing by to visit. I head up towards the library and see her walking towards me. I say hey, point to the book I'm holding, and say I was just coming up to drop off this book and say hey. She replies, "no, you weren't," and I say "yes, I was" and I tell her her office number that she and AFC work in (I didn't know exactly where she had worked). She laughs, and I ask her if she's going to the baseball game our office is throwing tomorrow (tomorrow then, today today). She replies in the affirmative.

So, I'm getting ready to leave with my friend HB7 (who works in my unit, is pretty fun if ditzy, and is in an LTR) who I had been doing some low-key game with in the past. We get outside, and I run into HB8 and AFC. HB8 mentions that she's totally jealous of the all-you-can-eat bracelet I had ordered for the game (hey, it's 6 bucks) and that she's super hungry for a hot dog as she hasn't eaten all day. I laugh and tell her she made a huge mistake, and she asks if I can get her free food during the game. I say yes. So, I make sure to stand near her on the train to the game, and we chat some more. We get to the stadium, and I tell her to save some a seat for me--I'll go get some food. She says okay.

I grab a hot dog, and work my way towards the seating section and realize I'm one of the first people there. So I grab my assigned seat and she comes by and sits next to me (not her assigned seat). AFC sits next to her, and HB7 is in front of me. I hand her the hot dog, but she says she was so hungry that she already ate one, and now she wants a cheeseburger. I'm like whatever, eat the hot dog, and tell her that if I get up again, I'll grab her something. Nothing like a little push-pull.

So the seats around us start filling up, and she says "HManiac, you're sitting in the middle what a bad spot for someone who's eating for two." I say "Yeah, I'm pregnant. Matter fact, I think I'll go get some pickles and sour cream to dip it in." I grab a beer and a cheeseburger for her. When I come back, I give her the cheeseburger and tell her now she owes me a beer. She says "Yeah. How much was the cheeseburger?" I'm like it was free. She says she doesn't owe me a beer. I say "You totally owe me a beer." And she says "Yeah, I guess I do. But a happy hour beer." So I'm like fuck yeah.

I little bit later, a sign comes up mentioning that its someone's 15th anniversary. She says "I totally don't want to spend my 15th anniversary here." I say "Well, that's awkward..." thinking that I'll mention that I thought it was kind of a cute place for an anniversary. She says "Why, are you going to take me here? Are you about to propose?" So I say "Of course." She says "I'd totally say yes, but only if the proposal was on the billboard." "Hang on," I say, "I have to make a call." And we both laugh.

She's been on the phone all game texting, and I thought she was maybe texting a boyfriend. She catches me looking and apologizes, saying that her best friend's father died unexpectedly, and she feels obligated to be there for her friend, even though she hates being rude. This isn't in the game or anything, but I figured it can't hurt to DHV and drop some knowledge because I used to work for the suicide hotline, so I briefly therapist her by mentioning that that sucks and isn't hard on her and it's totally okay if she's annoyed by having to be there for her friend.

The conversation sort of drifts away and she and I chat with AFC, and then I'm like fuck it I'll causally flirt with HB7. HB8 and I chat some more, and she mentions that her and AFC were gunna go to a Red Sox bar sometime (they're both from MA and I'm from NH) and she'll let me know. Around the 8th inning, she and AFC say their going to leave and ask if I'm coming with. I say it's a really nice night and I love baseball so I'll stick around. I thought about trying to convince her to stay, but really, there seemed to be no reason, and I was having a good time. So I remind her of her obligation to buy me a beer and say good night. I wanted to #-close but my phone had died.

So, thoughts, questions, next move? There wasn't really any kino--not a good spot for it, and I thought it might be weird to do around 30 something coworkers. I thought I'd send a hilarious recap of the game to HB8 and AFC tomorrow and ask when she wanted to settle up on the beer. If she invites me to the bar with AFC do I go, or decline in the hopes I can get her somewhere alone?

Thanks, seddit, and good looking out.
