A little back-story: I met this chick a while ago at a restaurant she works at. My friend and I were regulars and she's always been really cool to me. We even hung out once with some other mutual friends at a bar, but she seemed to be fighting with what I had then assumed was her boyfriend at the time and figured “Oh, well.”
Fast-forward to this past week, a couple of my friend and I were back at the restaurant when her and I start chatting and she makes it perfectly clear that that dude was NOT her boyfriend and that she was kind of embarrassed because her friends jokingly said “great, that was a good first impression you made on them.” (Them being my friends and I.)
As we leave I tell her to come out after work with all of us to a bar downtown, she says it depends on the dinner rush and how late she's going to be staying. I get her number and head out. Later on, I receive a text saying that she can't make it out, but that we should all hang out soon.
This was one week ago.
I had prior obligations on Thursday and Friday, but on Saturday night after work I get invited to a party and figure she may be interested. I text her but receive a response saying how she's already out for the night with some of her friends. Since that night, I've worked to midnight nearly every day and had no time to really hang out. I also haven't had any contact with her since Saturday night.
Have I missed my chance? If not, how should I proceed?
