First of all, let me start this by saying that I, in no way, wanted to bring a girl with me home tonight. Tonight was about having fun and getting out of my shell a little bit while in a new situation.

So let me set the scene. I'm visiting my Dad when we decide we want to go to a local band's concert. The crowd's relatively large, but it's mostly people in their 30's and 40's (I'm only 19) and I figured I wouldn't see anyone my age I'd find attractive from the start. Oh well.

After the warm-up band finished and left the stage, I was proven wrong. A HB8 flanked by 2 HB6.5's walked up towards the stage to get a good spot for the headlining band. The HB8 was exactly my type, too - tall, blonde hair, pale. Love 'em.

Anyways, I decide that I'm going to put all of my /r/seddit lurking to good use and try to approach the HB8. Looking for an excuse to talk to her, an opportunity presented itself when she pulled out her camera and started taking pictures of her two friends. I walked over and touched the HB8's shoulder and asked if they'd like me to take a group picture of them by the stage. They agree, and I take a few photos while joking about "bad ones" and "silly Facebook pictures".

After taking their pictures, I introduce myself and make conversation with the girls, primarily focusing on the HB8. After about 5 or 6 minutes of conversation, the other two girls seemed to take the hint and left the two of us alone. We talked some more and I used light kino until the band got on stage. Naturally, we were still up right next to the stage, and the crowd started to fill in around us, so we were now stuck together until the end of the concert.

I think at this point, since I already knew I had the hook, I sort of laid off trying to game this girl and just started having fun. The band was a German metal band that covered 80's rock hits, and the HB8 and I both sang and danced for the entire two hours. We even shared a slow dance to an old sappy rock love ballad.

Once the show was over, I got the girl's number, gave her a hug, and left very satisfied with my night. I feel like a number of things went well in this situation - Since I wasn't pressuring myself to take this girl home tonight, I was able to relax, be myself, and have fun. I won't be able to have her in a relationship, either - Even though she's single, we'll be attending college 4 hours apart from each other. I'm thoroughly satisfied with my night.
