I have to begin today's story with what happened last night. I was out getting dinner with a few friends of mine at a buffet when I saw the most beautiful girl standing in line to get in. I didn't notice her at first, but when I did, I realized she was smiling at me. She's an HB9, and the first thing that went through my head was "I wish". None of the other women I'd ever been with were as beautiful as this girl is. I considered her out of my league at first, and even though I saw her smiling at me 2 other times when I was at the restaurant, I didn't go and talk to her. I was too nervous. Besides, the guys I was with would have crashed any conversation I would have tried to have with her.

This morning, I woke up and I knew it was just going to be one of those days. I was uncoordinated as hell and still a bit upset about not going and talking to the HB9. Either way, I dressed well and went out to class.

Whether it was just my luck or by divine intervention, I saw the HB9 when I was walking back towards my apartment. I figured that it was going to be now or never, so I decided I was going to open her.

"Do I know you?"

"Hm?"

"Last night, I saw you smiling at me a lot. I was wondering if I knew you from some place."

"Oh, no, I just thought you were good-looking"

I almost froze. This beautiful girl, calling me good-looking? I could have died right on the spot. I'm not a bad-looking guy, but handsome isn't a compliment I get every day. But I quickly came to and retorted:

"Well, were you right? Am I good-looking?"

Success.

She giggled, adding playfully "Yeah, I guess so"

We continued to make light conversation for a few minutes before I had to split for my next class. I got her number, and I'm thinking about making dinner plans either tonight or tomorrow night.

I know that I'm going to get told "You should have talked to her last night" from you guys, but otherwise, did I do it right? How long do I wait to make a dinner plan? If not dinner, how else should I follow up?
