Hey guys, I was just at a party 4 hours ago and had a bunch of fun with only 1 success. 1 more than I planned on! It was a typical high school party (17 year olds).

Anyway, the night started slow, I knew 4 people out of the 40 in the party and it was a bit awkward for me. One of my friends drank a lot and tried to "hook up" with as many girls as possible. He was going up to girls and instead of putting his hands on their hips, he grabbed them by the stomach so there was no physical way of getting away from him.

I ended up talking to one of the girls he tried to grab, but she had the courage to tell him to go away. We had a bit of banter about him and ended up sitting down and talking. It all started to die down a bit until I told her my joke "what do you call an alligator in a vest? An investigator!". She loved it and we started joking around a lot more and before I knew it, she was following me around.

After a lot of sitting on the couch with her on my lap, people kept on telling me I should kiss her. After a bit more dancing (I told her I could only dance hippy and showed her, which she laughed at), it semt right at the time and I tried to go for her cheek and was blocked by her forehead intentionally. Damn, I guess she didn't want me to, but she didn't make it awkward though. After a bit more talking and a bit of scaling down on interest levels, we sat on the grass and talked in depth a bit, more about school and things in general. I got her number soon after this.

We went back into the lounge room and she was sitting next to me. My drunk friend that was hitting on all the girls before came up and was trying to mess around with me, telling me that myself and this girl should "make out". This ended up with both of us telling him that it's just making it weird and he should go up and dance. Soon after I tried to go for a kiss again, but was blocked by the same thing as before. But the same thing happened as before, she didn't make it awkward and we still talked and danced.

The night came to an end later and we all went home, I gave her a hug before she went and I told her "I'll get in touch with you when I'm more sober".

Was this all a good first seduction attempt? Any suggestions on the whole kissing thing? I always have an issue on knowing when to more to that step and how to do it properly. Can someone please analyse the situation and tell me what I am to her probably? and what would be the best way of contacting her? I personally rather texting. And there's a picnic party (daytime) in 2 weeks i could invite her to, or is that weird?
