Hey Seddit, long time lurker but first time poster-

I'm a third year transfer student at a new university this year. However, I have (almost) zero connections as far as parties go, and the ones I do have are very unreliable and aren't usually having/attending parties.

That being said, I am interested in one of the freshman in my Expos 1 class. I've seen her occasionally outside of class and we've chatted a little bit. I'm planning on asking her if she wants to hang out this weekend, but I'm a little uneasy about it because I don't know of any parties or get togethers that I could ask her to. I'd see if she wants to go to an on-campus event, but those are usually lame and don't provide any opportunity for isolation/escalation (something I'm already not great at).

I would have posted this in Uniseddit, but this subreddit gives better advice, and I figure a lot of you might have been in this situation at some point in your lives anyway.
