I got to class today and noticed in the reception of the building a HB7, I looked at her, then turned and started greeting my friends had a little smalltalk and then walked towards her, at this point a girl came and asked for some info, which HB7 didn't know and I used that to start talking to her.
I used this topic, quickly went to what is she doing there (working vs part-time job) and started to neg her a bit, she was laughing, I noticed she was playing with her hair, and then the professor came and I had to go. Before I left I told her we should talk again, and she should give me her # to do so. She had a bunch of post-it's under her hand so I told her to just write me one, but here, she hesitated.
I really had to go, so I told her that since she didn't make up her mind fast we wouldn't be talking until next week (it's a masters class so it's a weekly deal) she laughed and said when I came out on a break from class she'd still be there.
I went in to class and after a while I noticed she left, I thought it was for the day, but she just went to eat (I found out about that later). However during this time, I got back to the desk and talked to the other girl there, I noticed as I was talking to her a picture of HB7 with another guy in a frame (possibly the bf) so I just decided, the hell with it I just want to see if I can close this if only for the sake of it.
After she came back (I wasn't waiting, I just passed by and noticed she was there again) I approached her and asked her for my post-it, she laughed and told me I was "a persistant one" so I laughed-it off and then as I was about to say something she added "well, I'm still thinking about it (giving me her #)" I just said, "I didn't think that was something once should think about it that long" (It didn't sound mean or bossy, but it's easier to say this in spanish without sounding mean than in english). She just laughed and said, "well, I'm not decided yet" so I said, "well, I'll be around other weeks" with a smile on my face and left.
My question is, did I do something wrong or was she never going to give the # anyway? What would you guys have done differently?
there doesn't seem to be anything here
