So 5th to 15th set here, basically the same M.O. I decided that since I spend a lot of time in the subway I would work on doing something there. Things against me:

  • looks weird to just change seats because you spotted someone
  • loud noise makes it difficult to talk
  • people are often listening to music, playing with their phones or reading
  • other people can easily hear and interact.

With all of this in mind I started by working slowly on smooth these rough edges, first I'd spot whom I'd like to talk with before going in the train or once in the train and sit next to them or across to them (not directly but across-right) without paying much attention to their faces.

I started noticing how people (women specially) are constantly checking out people that pass infront of them, but really heavily doing so and I don't know if it's that I've been paying more attention or that they don't do it subtly but I can see when they do it 9 out of 10 times now.

I worked the loud noise to my advantage, first it costed me and I had to make the conscious effort not to lean forward to hear them, now I just do and they lean forward if interested if not, I just start looking somewhere else and they do it afterwards or raise the voice.

About them being busy, if people look a lot into what they're doing, I just don't annoy them otherwise I jump right in. I found out you can easily tell if people are really interested in what they are doing and will be annoyed to be interrupted or are just trying not to look around for being shy or some other reason.

About other people easily hearing, I just don't care anymore.

I also have to say that every time this women are either alone or a two set, which I've found is easier for me to begin with.

So sets 5 to 15 were pretty much the same I have been practicing my attention to detail so I spot something interesting they're wearing, doing and engage in conversation about that. Not much happens, and the first sets were pretty much ok, and just left after a while. However the last 3 I opened I noticed something changed, I didn't know exactly what with #13 and #14 but I found out with #15.

13[HB7], I noticed she had a beautiful watch and started talking to her complimenting her watch, from then we moved on to smalltalk and I was able to get her to tell me where she's from, what she's doing, what she wants to do with her life. However in the end I spotted myself leaning forward and investing myself too much and so I decided to cut it out and lean back, after I did so she leaned forward a bit and continued talking. We got to her stop (remember this is all happening in the time you have between 1 station and your stop which is anywhere from 3 to usually around 5 minutes more if you're lucky), and once we were there I just said nothing (chickened out) and she just plainly stood up, turned and looked at me and said "well, very nice meeting you have a great stay in Germany" gave me a huge smile and walked away.

In retrospect I could've asked for her number but oh well, I blew it and I was (am) learning so ok.

14[HB6] I spotted an (honestly) interesting ring on her and started asking about it, got her to tell me how her parents gave it to her about 10 years ago, what she was doing that day and how she wants to change jobs. Again, spotted myself too invested and stopped it. She however did not lean forward or was that interested so when her stop came she just stood up and told me she had fun talking to me and left.

15[HB8] I was waiting for my train and when the wagons passed I spotted a girl in a complete green jumpsuit, I walked quickly to that wagon (hoping she wouldn't notice) and got in there (because you know, I just HAD to do it I mean a green jumpsuit is SUCH an easy opener).

I sat across her so our shoulders would be infront of each other (that is, I'm not infront of her directly) and I took off my earphones looked her in the eye and just plainly said "I'm sorry, I gotta ask what's with the clothes?" She looked at me and just laughed and started explaining me she was part of a publicity stunt for a company and she's part of a group of people who would be doing that for that day and the weekend. I then asked her if what was she supposed to be, and she told me, "oh well, nothing just a girl in a green jumpsuit" to which I replied "really? I would've thought you had more imagination than that" (with a cocky smile across my face), she just laughed it off and said she was an alien, I told her that was more like it and she should tell me where she was from but she should also come sit right next to me because the noise from the subway didn't allow me to here her properly (by this time I had noticed that I hadn't at ALL leaned forward - she was the one doing so actually) So she just complied and moved right next to me, turned her body to mine and leaned forward while proceeding to explain to me she was from Venus (huge smile on her face).

After a bit of chitchat I said "so, when do I get to see the alien without the jumpsuit?" (at this time I was basically working my kino over her thigh and hand and she was perfectly receptive) she smiled but then looked down and said "well I don't think my boyfriend would like that". I decided it was ok, and just went with it, telling her it was ok, and she added "but you know, I'm wearing only underwear beneath this" and I told her I thought so (you could see the underwear beneath the suit clearly" and I just ran my hand across her underwear line over her butt and she was perfectly fine with it (surprising to me).

In any case, her stop arrived and she told me she was late so she got up, and left, but I think I just might go to that publicity stunt later today haha.

Quick note: Gotta say I, of course, have also been ignored a couple of times and well, I found out I just don't care anymore, they're being the rude ones so, whatever just move on. =)

EDIT

Gotta say, anything you guys think would help me out here, please let me know, I'm all for improvement =) I'm still pretty much working on the basics.
