Hey everyone,

I've been lurking this subreddit for a few months kind of casually, I really had no interest in upping my "game" until something happened this morning. Let me preface this by saying i'm a good looking guy, and I know it, but i'm also not the most social person. I live in NYC, and as such I take the subway to work every morning. This morning was totally normal, people were exiting the train at a stop when suddenly I saw this really cute girl. Before I had time to even digest it she smiled at me and I LOOKED AWAY! I didn't know what to do after that, obviously I had just dissed her, and she was at the end of the train so approaching would make me pretty vulnerable.

So here I am, I decided instead of beating myself up i'd take it as a learning opportunity (but i'm still mad pissed about it).

What the hell should I have done? I know there's a 3 second rule, and it doesn't matter what you say as long as you say SOMETHING, but what would you have done? And what would you suggest an AFC like me do when something like this happens in the future?
