Personally from reading your "guide" I think you underlying motivations and innergame (you are better than scraping by with bar ONS and can get quality women if you wanted to) are off, and that probably comes across in your bar game so that girls decide not to get in touch with you.

I'll admit I think that a # itself means nothing, I could get 30 # and no day or teach guys to get # within 30 seconds, but all I want is a single # that I know is basically a sure thing.

Most nights I go out, I won't find a woman up to my standards to even bother getting a #, but when I do, I have no problems getting a day2 out of it.

I used to be all about numbers and "happy" I got them. But like you said, pretty quickly you realize that in today's age they mean nothing. It's not even worth writing them down.

UNLESS: You met early in the night, and had an actual conversation. An actual connection. But if she's even remotely drunk/tipsy it's a waste of time. She'll never remember you.

Numbers are far from a waste. Solid numbers lead to dates, period.

If you're not getting anything, it reflects more on your first interaction and follow-up than anything else. You have to make a strong and real connection if you want her to see you again.

Are you talking to her long enough? Especially at night if you find a girl you like and it's going well, spend time with her. Most guys leave after 10 minutes and expect her to remember you more than just another bar guy she met. Now if you spent an hour have an amazing time together, you better believe she's much more likely to see you again.

Are you connecting on a deeper level? Flirting and attraction is important, no doubt about it. But equally important is finding out about each other, sharing stories and interests, telling secrets, discovering passions, etc. Seduction is an emotional process.

Are you setting up a date on the spot? Find out something you both enjoy and suggest an awesome adventure. Your goal should be to setup a date and then the number is a natural exchange, not the other way around.

There are many reasons why your numbers aren't converting to dates. I'd take a look at your first interactions and start there.

Giving the number is sometimes their shortcut to shut the guy up. Some are just bad at saying "no" also.

If offered, always take the number. Women don't deal well with rejection. Turning it down would not be DHV, it would be straight up asshole.

Not asking for the number is tricky though. Will you run into her again? If yes, then by not asking for the number you've done something different than the previous 9 "puas" that approached her.

numbers almost always work out for me? i couldn't disagree more...

but really though, i've gone on a lot of day2's with girls i've met from many different contexts and WITHOUT her phone number these would never have happened.

thinking about it, it might have to do with what puacurveball has said:

I usually don't ask for a number unless i'm genuinely interested in seeing them again. I'm searching for either a one night stand or a girlfriend. if i can't close that girl that night then i don't care to pursue. if i find a girl who has the package i'm looking for then i ask for the number. so ya, i don't ask for 30# because i don't make a connection with 30 girls i want to pursue.

Depends on what you are looking for. I have greatly reduced the number of numbers I get or pursue. But the ones I do are usually responsive. And eventually you can tell from the conversation if the number will respond or not.

I assume all number closes are dead ends (unless you've gotten really physical), and I'll only pursue a # close as an elegant segue out of what is otherwise a dead set.

That said, numbers are great for fucking around with girls en masse over text, which is a RIOT. What am I mass texting to this week's batch? Etc.

I also have little interest in D2's. I don't want to go on dates.
