PUA is the ugly way to put it/call yourself (to an outsider).

Self Improvement is a good one for telling girls, family, or those you don't want to evoke a negative reaction. You can also say you are into human behavior, as this is basically the truth.

You can try explaining, possibly through examples, how you do your 'game,' and in doing so try to make it obvious there is no trickery, rather attraction generated and (ideally) a good time had on both sides.

I can honestly say, since getting into PUA all but one of the girls that I've number/kiss/f-closed has had a good time; even if it was to learn that we weren't going to work. And that one was, well, crazy. But hot. And I knew that going in.

If nothing else try to explain, and upon failing, stop and show by example. Many male friends of mine started on PUA after seeing it in action.

seasidelion, peterclemenza, and ge99 all explained it pretty well. There's really no way to prove anything to anyone beyond showing it first-hand. I've talked with a lot of guys about it. Plenty have agreed with me (but didn't go out and implement it). Plenty have completely disagreed. And some have agreed and actually taken it to heart, and then actually did the things I talked about.

Outside of that though, I've never failed in showing someone how it works. They see me doing it, and then they want to do it themselves. It's especially easy with guys who have no clue. With guys who have been a bit more successful, it's harder. Not only do you have to show them that your "method" works, but you also have to be really good at persuasion, and really get them to understand your side of the argument. As far as that goes, I've really only done that with one guy- who was already getting laid a lot (he's like 6'3", fit, and a cool guy all around). After we talked for a little bit, he literally said "Holy shit! Frogma knows what he's talking about!" and that was before we even went out. Basically you gotta be like Bill Clinton and make some good arguments. Beyond that, you have to back it up with proof.

I just give random tips, and constantly stress the fact that you can work on being good with girls, it's not some magical ability.

And, the obvious and easy way: tell them that The Game is awesome and they should read it. Let Neil do the explaining for you :-)

Tell him to read "Double Your Dating," David DeAngelo. Some of it is something like "tricks," much of it isn't, and dang if it doesn't work. Seeing it work, seeing a guy using it go up to a hot girl and be making out with her in 5-10 minutes and then bringing her home within 30 tops, that is what convinces people I think. And I've done this many times using these ideas.
