I'm a 29 year old male and highly educated. I have a stable job, friends and overall I'm very happy with my life. However, both my dating and sex life could use some improvement. I've had success in the past but only in cases where the female was the aggressor. My job has required me to move to the south where I've run into very few females who are direct. Especially in social situations I have a very difficult time reading social cues making it somewhat difficult for me read women. I've read the intro reading material but things like making physical or eye contact make me feel very uncomfortable especially around new people. Clubs and bars really don't work for me because with everything going on (music, other conversations and proximity to strangers) I usually just shut down and drink in a corner. I usually do much better in small groups but I've been told that I can ramble on. Right now my dating consists of whatever blind date my friends set me up on which usually end poorly because of compatibility issues. (thinks like the woman telling me I'm going to hell because I drink wine with dinner) I'm sure I can't be the only autistic out there who's run into this problem.

I know the easy answer would be for me to move but given the economy and my overall happiness with my job that really isn't an option at the moment.
