Question regarding alphas and DHV

DHV just means "display high value" (or something). Generally in a social setting you can display high value by being comfortable in the environment. That's it.

Outside of that, you can be passionate about the things you do and not compare yourself to the girl in the first place. Think about like a NASCAR guy with a hot trophy wife. Maybe she's really good-looking and really cool or whatever, but this guy loves his life and draws people to him. Even look at Ricky Bobby (despite the fact that he doesn't exist)- he ended up getting with that one hot girl from that one movie because she saw his good qualities.

I don't think it's good to really focus on DHV stuff because that means you're already thinking about it as more of a competition- with guy friends, that can be fine, but with girls, it can turn them off really quickly. Ever since I learned about DHV stories, I stopped bragging altogether. I used to brag all the time about random shit, and sure enough, most people weren't "impressed" or anything- I just made myself look like a tool. Now when I tell a story, I focus on the humorous aspects of it more than I focus on my "accomplishment" or whatever shit that makes me look good. I mention that stuff as more of an afterthought, and it comes across a lot better to the girl. Like let's say I saved a kitten from a crazy dude (maybe he was kicking the cat or something)- I spend most of the story talking about how crazy the guy was and how weird the situation was, and then as an afterthought I mention that I was able to save the cat. I don't boast about that aspect of it, I just mention it matter-of-factly and move past it (meanwhile, I realize she thinks it's awesome that I did something nice for the cat, but since I didn't brag about it, she knows I'm not trying to earn brownie points for it).

You don't DHV with your car, you DHV by enjoying your time, self-amusing, not trying to impress, having fun, and escalating as you please. "Alphas" don't worry about if a girl has a better job then they do. The old saying is true: Whatever price tag you put on yourself is your price.
