Hey Seddit, I'm a very new browser, I'm talking a couple of days - and I started because of current happenings.

   *background*- I'm a confident guy, and great at socialising, I'm more than fine with approaching girls and chatting to them etc, but then I hit a wall where I'm too scared to make the first move, it's resulted in a lot of opportunities being lost but time and time again I've failed to jump over this hurdle.

I've had girlfriends, and some really great relationships, so once I'm in one it seems to work out fine. I haven't kissed in a while so I guess this is one of the things I'm scared of doing.

    *current situation*- I like a girl, the girl likes me (should be pretty simple right?...), last night we went out with lots of friends and went to a pub then a small cafe for a hot chocolate/ice cream, things were relaxed and fine, then walking back to her boarding house, she had to take care of a v.drunk girl who kept blurting out shit like 'Have you got with /me/ yet?', she looked a bit stressed having to walk her.

Anyway, we're chilling back at house, everyone goes upstairs to bed etc, we're in the kitchen chatting calmly, I'm nervous - and in hindsight I realise she was prompting the vast majority of the conversation, she said "We should probably go, alarms are being set etc" (which is true, she wasn't just kicking me out, they have curfew), so we go round to unlock my bike etc, in a dark alleyway with nobody in there, I should've probably made a move but I just stood there like an effing lemming. We then walk round to the front to say goodnight, NOTHING is said for a good 20 seconds, quite literally awkward silence, she gives me her number, I say "I should've probably asked for that myself" chuckles all around...

I then perform the biggest fuck up and ask if she wants to kiss, she says 'Not yet, let's just hug, goodnight' - I leave, call myself a fucking idiot all the way home, then apologise via text and asks her if she enjoyed the night, I said it was stupid of me to do what I did. We will be hanging out tomorrow, probably walking in one of the parks *(Oxford, UK) so it will be all crisp and pretty which is a good starter. I was wondering what I could do to try and remedy any damage caused, I really appreciate this girl and would love a LTR.
