I think it's fundamentally flawed because it focusses so hard on looks (combined with 'social status' sometimes). Or maybe it's not flawed per se, but at least I don't seem to rate girls in my head according to that system.
Rather, the 'value' I place on a girl I don't know yet, would be something like:
looks + fun to be around (which invariably translates to the bedroom) + chances of actually getting her
So the way this works is, a girl can be not that hot, but if she's great fun to be around, I'll still be attracted to her and want to give it a shot. If she's not that good-looking and not that much fun to be around (of course I have some minimum standard in each of these), but if it's obvious I can take her home and have a wonderful night right now, lazy me will sometimes go for that.
So yes I am pragmatic, and ultimately I think this is a LOT more realistic for most men, though few actually seem to admit it.
Am I alone in this? And if not, what's your true internal 'rating' system in judging which girl you want to go for?
