Good read, but not advice as much as mantra. He says himself that he had this mental shift and abandoned "I hope she likes me" only when he was already banging tons of hot girls regularly.

I think most of us have experienced both of these frames, the "does she like me" vs "do I like her". In fact, you may have experienced a shift with the same person when you start valuing them less or valuing yourself more. The real interesting application of this to me is when you apply it to both genders. Like game theory (the Nash one, not Strauss one)

You have four scenarios

He is asking "do I like her" and she is asking "do I like him"
He is asking "do I like her" and she is asking "does he like me"
He is asking "does she like me" and she is asking "do I like him"
He is asking "does she like me" and she is asking "does he like me"

It's pretty easy to see from that where different outcomes come from. 4 can work but is often a stalemate that will waste your time. 3 will fail almost all the time. 1 will work frequently and 2 is easy as pie.

If you believe that your actions project your thoughts, if you are ever wondering if she likes you you are hurting yourself bad.

It makes no sense to abandon traditional "I hope she likes me" seduction. "Pussy screening" (I hate that term) may get you laid more, but seduction remains an invaluable social skill.

So this post doesn't completely kill the paradigms of inner game or manipulation/influence/seduction. Still - it has some really, really big implications for mentality when actively picking up women.

I like the concept of me screening girls, not vice-versa. I dislike that this rules out a number of potentially wonderful women simply because they don't show an immediate desire to get it on. Screening mentality is a potential game-changer, and I'll be mulling it over for the next few days.

Yo guys, I found this in my analytics report and wanted to thank you for reading this discussion. I appreciate you posting this RMBarnes! A lot goes into transitioning from i hope she likes me/nice guy mentality to screening, but even some of the new guys have tried this out and gotten very different responses. Like you guys have mentioned, it's a mindset/mentality, not a technique. it might be a technique at first, but it becomes internalized.

I feel like there's a good message encrypted in the article, but it's overshadowed by the author's douchy attitude. I'm new to this whole thing, and the article gives me the impression that the purpose of seduction is about objectifying women into sex objects and get laid. I know its a misconception, but those were my thoughts while reading the article.
