I've had this now with a few girls. Nice smooth escalation but I keep on getting failed kiss closes. Not outright blowouts but "not-yets." Which is fine, I hold my cool and just try again later but that's all I ever get from these girls. Example. Last week I was hanging out casually with a girl I've kissed closed months ago but only ever briefly talked to every few weeks since then. She was sitting on my lap, allowing me to stroke her hair, legs intertwined, laying on my chest, etc. I'm starting to see signs she wants to be kissed. We're face to face, looking at each others eyes talking but... she breaks the eye contact. Or she'll glance down at my lips but not 'swoon' over them like most girls before a kiss close. The one or two times I started to go in for it, she'd break the sexual tension some how or turn her cheek. And even the last time I kiss closed her she gave a quick, barely tongue kiss before doing the same shit again. No make out.

I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm thinking maybe comfort levels aren't high? The one in the example is inexperienced and maybe even a virgin. How do I help her to be able to handle enough sexual tension to build up to a kiss? Either way unless we get further soon I'm dropping her.
