Honestly, every guy has a fear that they'll run out of things to say. It's only when you accept that fear and realize that even when you don't say anything and lose the set, it doesn't matter at all.

My initial reaction is two-fold. First, how many girls are in these groups you try to open? What is your opening game plan? I usually recommend to stick with opening one/two sets a the beginning of the night. Don't try to look for numbers or close, just build some of that confidence that you can open. In the middle, try for the groups. I always feel that groups are always a crapshoot. A lot of social dynamics you are stepping into that can affect your results. Lastly, look to close from the groups or maybe a single you talked to earlier.

Second, a few suggestions based around your overall mental pickup frame. Stop setting up dates on the spot unless you have them convince you that THEY want to see you. It's a losing game. You appear to have good approach and good openers. Stick with that, but keep in mind that Pickup is the shiny hook that attracts the fish, but the bait (you) is what keeps them on the hook. Be a little more picky with who you number close and let them know that you are. Showcase a higher value to fewer girls (but still opening many sets).

I dunno if this is applicable to your situation - it was just my first impression. :/
