In case you missed the back story, here it is, and I'll recap:

I've been foreveralone for 3+ years and I was in my last few days at my job this week. I said to myself, "fuck it," and I asked my manager out after a very short application of some basic game. Surprisingly, she said yes. Got her number and set up a date for Saturday night (tonight).

Fast forward to tonight: I was supposed to meet her at work because she got off at 7:00. I get there a few minutes early and I don't see her car in the parking lot. I call and leave a voicemail, "Hey, I was calling to see if you still want to hang out tonight. Anyway, holla." No callback, no show. So she flaked out on me. I ended up going out to eat with a buddy of mine.

I still consider this a success, though, because I #-closed her the other night, and that is the farthest I've gotten with a girl in 3+ years. I've got so much inner game that I can work on right now that girls are really secondary to what I'm focusing on. I've been losing weight (48 lbs as of this morning) and learning to respect myself and all that good stuff that goes with inner game. So I'm not even worried that I got stood up. This just another one of those small victories in a series of victories, even though it didn't go as well as I had hoped.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed a little bit. She seemed like a cool girl. She had a directness about her interactions and a matter-of-fact attitude that made me think that if she said she would do something, she would follow through. But whatever. On to the next one.
