It sounds like you care what other people will think of you? Fuck them. Do what you want and smile doing it. Most likely they will not care one little fucking bit about you no matter your age.

I knew a guy that went from being a building maintenance guy to being lawyer when he was 50. He said once you become a lawyer no one knows or gives a fuck how long you've been one except maybe you're first employer.

I went back to college when I was 23 and was worried about being too old. Guess what? In the 2 years it took to finish my 4 year degree only one person said something about to my face. Some intittled drunk bitch at a party said something out loud for everyone to hear about me being old and smelling of cologne. Guess what I did? I ignored her. It's that fucking simple.

As people age they bifurcate into two groups; those that are basically dead already and those that are more interesting and competent than younger people.

Of the second group, they are always doing new things and stretching their boundaries.
