There are many ways attraction is built, even before you utter a single vowel. Just having presence in a location can be an incredible way to demonstrate value and have someone attracted to you. Displaying confidence to approach out of the blue is another good way of building it.

Don't do awkward things. Do do what you want. Make sure what you do is more for your own amusement rather than the amusement of others.

I think you are putting too much emphasis on building attraction. Girls like guys. Most of them are biologically wired that way. All you really have to do is not fuck it up. All of this pickup stuff is basically just about breaking down the natural social barriers that get in the way of hooking up, which is what men and women are naturally predisposed to doing.

You used the word "tryhard." I think that's a good description of what you sound like you might be doing. Stop overthinking it. Listen to her, make her laugh, touch her, make a move... etc. That's really all there is to it.

If you frequent this subreddit at all you'll know that failure is good. being an awkward mess is good, in the sense that you know that you've messed up and that you can then identify the aspects of your social interaction which made you or her feel awkward. then you work on eliminating those aspects. you learn a lot more from 'failing' (which to you is the girl seeing you as 'some guy' than succeeding.

on a side note, this is pretty vague... what do you mean by loser tryhard? what stuff did you do that made you feel that way? make a field report on one of these nights, read all the stuff on the sidebar and start working on improving yourself.
