I am aware of the "negative" stereotypes associated with East Asian men, asexual, small packaged, weak, and psychotic. In fact, a woman one time refused to talk to me because I am an Asian.
Simple Pickup - a group of asian guys who go out and pick-up women; mostly for comedy but they're pretty good.
Also fuck that woman, definitely doesn't seem like the type of girl you'd want to be around anyway.

They are all at least a head taller than me.
Don't make excuses and Don't talk about it. Do it. Excuses change nothing.

You do realize you can leave at any point, right? You don't have to make it less awkward for the girl. Just remember that you have feet and you can walk, at any point in the interaction.
And you don't even have to say "it was nice talking to you" if it wasn't.

A boyfriend can either be a disqualifier, a shit test or a real boyfriend. As time goes on, you'll realize which is which.
In the beginning stages of your game, you'll get it a lot as a disqualifier. Don't worry about it, and don't keep pushing forward anyway. No need to keep gaming girls who disqualify you like that. Go mack on another girl.
Once a girl has said that she has a boyfriend, she has invested herself in that statement. The more you try to convince her otherwise, the more she'll dig her heels in.
So... good work, but your opening needs work. Why would you go up to a fatty and say she looks "gorgeous"?? You over-invested at that point, and that's why they said they have boyfriends. No girl wants a guy who is over-invested. Remain non-committal in your interaction, ie be indirect.
Keep reading and keep sarging.

You can go direct and not over-invest by using an opener such as "Hi, I'm XNAME" or "Hi, I was over there and I saw you and I wanted to talk to you. Who are you, what is your name?"
Direct doesn't mean complimenting her appearance all the time. It just means you want to talk to them and you're not afraid to show that. I actually used to think that direct meant telegraphing interest right away. I've since realized that it doesn't. Few girls like guys who telegraph a lot of interest right away.

wow this is a great post, one that is often overlooked and i myself have been super confused when it came to going direct. Now i think i understand it better.

Two of Seddit's common replies to mentions of a boyfriend:
'That's nice, I have a goldfish'. (When questioned, say 'I thought we were just listing irrelevant facts about ourselves'.)
'Brilliant, he can bake us cookies while we go on fantastic adventures to infinity and beyond' (or something along those lines).

I've gotta point out, if you don't already have the confidence for it... don't do it. You've gotta be suave.

Yes, which is why you should practice more before you do it. It's similar to the Apocalypse opener, you've gotta be super confident to do it right.

I'm not a fan of lines but a less passive-aggressive response that kind of matches my personality is:
Girl: I have a boyfriend
Me: Awesome, i've got one too :)
[Wait for her to laugh and go into farfetched description of imaginary boyfriend or anything else. For ex. "he's a french super model, his name's Jean-Paul Louise..."]
[Ask her her boyfriend's name, if there's a pause or it takes her more than 2 seconds to answer; maybe tease her about it, "Wow that took you a while, you need to get better at lying"]
