Note: I'm a 17 year old that got into TRP a few months ago and is struggling with some stuff in the everyday life. I lift, don't count macros nor do I eat really healthy. I eliminated fast food from my life, I have the occasional "cheat day" though. I consume a protein shake after my workout session and see some change in my body and muscles. These topics, along with some others, have been torturing me for quite a lot of time and I recently found out about them being common.

Topic 1: Imitating

This summer I implemented a technique into my character where I imitate people when they do something funny, or talk in a funny way. Usually they get offended and take respond "politely", and usually some respond with a straight up "seriously?" face. Now I don't want to back down from my jokes just because some people don't like it, but I'm afraid if it might end up pushing me away from new people and making friends.

Topic 2: Getting shit and handling it.

People around me usually like to "command" me and tell me to do stuff they can do themselves. (Ex. I had friend A ask me to call friend B so I can ask him something friend A had on his mind.)

This happens at home as well. My brother asks me to get him a cup of water, and I would usually complain then do what the asked. A few days ago the same thing happened, but I said I couldn't do it and it got heated - we got in a small argument. I'm not sure if I did the right thing, because small acts around home defines who you are as a person to the people living in your house and defines how they will treat you. My parents even ask me to come from the other side of the apartment just to turn the light on/off for them - and I don't deny it because they're my parents.

Topic 3: Handling mother-son relationship

From reading about TRP, and reading the sidebar material I realized that men intend to love unconditionally and expect the same love to be returned. And when they fail in love and/or relationships it's usually because of his and his mother's relationship and their connection. I wouldn't say I have a good connection with my mother. It's sort of in the middle if you catch my drift.

However my mother intends to provoke me by bad mouthing something I did or believe in, and she doesn't even do it with the manner of teaching me, but just pours out all the hate on me from arguing with my father or someone that pissed her off at work.. Sometimes I respond negatively and fire back and sometimes I hold myself and end up leaving the room which I'm in and go back to my bedroom, which is basically my cave. I don't know what to do in such a situation. Do I call her out or do I just ignore her? Basically giving her an even bigger opportunity to bad mouth stuff I want to do, or am doing in my life.
