Guys, I just had to share a story, hopefully as a learning experience. Here is a chat transcript between a very good friend (an attractive, intelligent, well educated girl) and I. Don't be turned off by her writing style - we chat very casually with each other.

As an exercise for any and all newbie readers, I'd like for you to review this conversation, point out any mistakes you believe he made, and then advise him on what he SHOULD have done.

I post this as not only an exercise, but also to give you just a little bit of insight as to how certain behaviors are perceived by women.

The Conversation

[Her] soo...you know that guy, (a guy she recently met)?

[Her] he was at (a recent social gather)

[Her] well...anyway..I just talked to him like for 45 minutes there..

[Her] he friended me on fb...which is fine.

[Her] I haven't talked to him ever since...

[Her] well..he just asked me out for dinner via fb.

[Her] :S

[Me] how do you feel about it?

[Her] uncomfortable.

[Her] but I don't wanna be mean

[Her] sooo...what to do?

[Me] why does it make you uncomfortable?

[Her] bcs i barely know him

[Her] usually...we talk a little first...chat on fb..then numbers, then ask out

(conversation snip...2 hours later)

[Her] oh dude..that guy apparently mass asked out FBed

[Me] ??

[Her] he like fb updated all his rejections.

[Me] what??

[Her] yah dude

[Her] "Two rejections in the span of ten minutes. Sigh."

[Her] and then: "If you'd like to turn me down for anything, now is the time, evidently."

[Her] WTHHHHH

[Me] jeez

[Her] honestly..if ppl just chill the fuck out...they could date and enjoy

[Me] did you already send your rejection?

[Her] no.
