If your friend doesn't want to have fun then there's no point to go out with him trying to have fun. Easy solution: don't go out with him. Fly solo, buddy. It takes some adjustment, but there are advantages which you'll soon discover. You won't be a "lone creeper" if you talk to people and meet new friends. You'll only fall into that category if you go out by yourself and stand in the corner of the club watching everyone while twirling your mustache.

Go to a group of girls and say they have to help you with bringing your friend on the dancefloor -> opener + solution to your problem

I %100 agree with generous Kahn. Your wings job is to keep you in a good mood, not to be a drag. I have a trick for going out alone. I tell myself "that i'm not goin out alone because i'll have all these beautiful women to keep me company" It puts me in a right mindset. Oh and i've stopped hanging out at the bars/clubs with my wallflower friends. I do other stuff with them and hang out with them at the bars every so often.
