Hey Everyone,

Recently I've noticed that when I listen to anyone - guy or girl - I look at their lips and mouth for a lot of the the time. I will frequently dart up to their eyes, but then back to their mouth, not vice versa. I attribute this to being able to interpret what someone is saying more clearly. I've purposely tried giving more direct eye contact when listening, but don't understand what they're saying nearly as well. If I am speaking to someone, I will do what I think most consider generally solid eye contact: I look at their eyes most of the time, and glance away on very brief occasion when I'm thinking or reflecting.

Is looking at their mouth and lips appropriate? No one has ever 'pointed it out' to me before, but neither have I noticed anyone else doing it to me - I haven't really looked too closely, though.
