Agreed.

If the woman you are going after is responding to, apologies for clumsy alliteration, negative negging, then you need to think about the sort of person you're going after.

This technique, in my opinion, is designed to prey on the psychologically damaged.

Negging, if done right (again, in my opinion), comes with a sort of playfulness that makes apologies largely unnecessary. If you are legitimately tearing a woman down to get her to fuck you, you're one of the problems with the popular perception of those who try to be PUAs. Not only should you apologize for making people feel badly, you should never do it again.

Don't know what the popular opinion of this argument will be, but I also don't give a shit.

I think the term negging should be changed to playfully teasing or something. Too many guys obviously are having a problem understanding what negging actually is all about.

I think the term "negging" in itself is sort of dumb. It's a good step to stand on when you're starting out, and the mentality behind it (when interpreted correctly) is probably good - even if it takes some refinement to get down. Being PLAYFUL is the goal. Looking for opportunities to make calculated backhanded compliments/insults is fucking stupid. If you have to search that hard for them, the conversation is going to come off as forced and you're going to, time and time again, run into that unexpected response that blows you out. If you run the risk of crossing that line, you're not doing it right.
