My gut says she's probably not socially retarded, and also not in to you. Tough break. But, if she's attractive and her friends think she's in to you but just retarded, you can at least walk away with some social proof.

In general, try to limit how often you initiate conversation via text or facebook. Holding back will 1) make you come across as less desperate 2) allow you to gauge women's interest by seeing how often they initiate with you.
