Simple Answer: Don't take a number unless you both figure out why you are taking the number.

As in, set plans (what you two are doing, why you are getting #(date)), figure out a good time to call, and state the purpose of that call (to pick a specific time or confirm date).

You need to timebridge your #close so there is no guessing what you should text.

Is this harder? Yes. Does this give them opportunity to reject you in person? Yes. Is this the best way to avoid flakes, wondering what to text, and only get quality numbers? Yes.

My favorite line is just calling them and then saying: "Is this the cute girl who I met at the party?" Will get them to smile blah blah you get the point then rush to get off the phone because you're busy then just say what you want to do for a date or w.e. you feel like labling it.
