Good job overcoming your fear, and you're right about one thing: rejection can hurt, but you'll remember the ones who said yes a lot longer than the ones who said no. The only guaranteed path to failure is not even trying.

Stop framing rejections as something painful that you should avoid. Start realizing that getting blown out doesn't matter AT ALL and that there's no limit to the amount of girls you can open. Your approach anxiety's going to disappear if you make rejections fun for you

That's like saying "don't care what other people think of you." It's great advice, but it is much easier said than done.

Naw, it's hard to believe it if you've never been there, but getting to that point is actually pretty easy. Check this video out. Hope that helps.

True plus you can learn a ton from failures/rejections. I have to remind myself to embrace the failures, realize its a learning experience. Its all about viewing it as practice, although sometimes it does beat me down pretty badly.

It was ten years ago, and junior high remains the hardest time I've ever had in my life socially brother. If you're doing that well there, you'll have no problem later on. Props.

I dont have the fear of girls, i have that fear of rejection though. I have a lot of girl friends (two words) but i can never get the courage to ask one out.

I also had this fear an unfortunately did not overcome it until my freshman year in college when my buddy told me its all about making the first move. Of course I was a bit nervous and who wouldn't be I'm in a fraternity and at parties there are definitely far more guys who are better looking and are good at talking. My buddy says to me that you can't expect a plant to grow if you don't plant the seeds. So basically if one girls blows you off you just "scope" out another girl. It's good to have conversations with girls and the more you do the more comfortable you get. Also in highschool just take friends to the dances. If you ask someone you have a crush on or whatever and something goes wrong it ruins the night for both of you. I always took my friends because I knew I'd have fun. Good job getting over the fear. Now it's all about making yourself get noticed. Talk to girls during passing period or lunch go up to a table with people you usually wouldn't see your self talking to and ask if you can join in. It'll be awkward at first but once you get to know them you'll be joining in on conversations and such.
