When is the best time to call after getting a number?

You definitely need to have something to invite her to do and it's best that that thing is not more than 3-4 days in the future. Let that determine when you call her. The specific time of the call is much more important, you really want to get a pickup instead of VM. I find that trying to use commute times and a little bit later than is normally OK works best. I might try 5:20 if I know she is off work at 5 or I might do 10:15 pm. Fri/Sat nights are obviously not good times to call.

I will not usually leave a VM on the first call but text afterwords. "It's mr. awesome from [how she knows you]. I'm going out but you can call me back tomorrow around X".

I'm older and most of my dates still use the phone as a phone. I also really like a call to qualify a girl more before wasting my time.

There is no answer for this, asking it shows misunderstanding of how seduction works.

The only solid answer for this is: The time that you worked out with the girl that would be a good time to call.

If you like and are not just playing her, whenever because women appreciate honesty. Also myth that all guys subscribe to: wait 3 days? Please. Anything after 2 seems like she's an after thought. "Oh yeah, that bitch I hit on that night durr durr". That's how she feels. If you like her, call her. It doesn't matter when. If you have a genuine connection, you'll have something to do or invite her to in mind.

Its best to call when you want to and when its most likely a good time to talk. Be natural. Call when u have a reason. And whatever that reason is own it. I'm no pua, just a dude who has built a lot of relationships and done that first call many times.

This should probably go into r/askseddit, but I'll answer anyway in case a deep discussion about doctrine occurs.

You call when you have a solid plan as to what you two are going to do. Could be a day later. Could be five days later. Depends on how busy you are.

Now, I generally don't call within the first couple of days because I'm a) too busy and b) I haven't had time to think of something fun to do.

I'm not pretending to be busy, or "intentionally ignoring a girl." I'm just putting proper priority on the things in my life. I'm not going to rearrange my whole schedule to get a date in with someone I just met. So, first I have to take time to find a solid couple of nights I'm free, and then I make the call.

As for calling the same day, the reason that makes no sense is because you should have just asked her out in person, instead of getting her phone number?

Then again, all of these things are more guidelines. Use your head. Make sure you're paying attention to your life, and your priorities.
