my friend is hosting a quite large speed dating event for charity and i had signed up to help out. we will be given 4 minutes with each girl, and get the contact infos of the ones we best match with at the end.

any advice on how to work and stand out from the rest of the pack within those 4 minutes? should i avoid asking questions as much as i can? generic questions that i expect to get asked are: what do you do for a living? where are you from? etc.

fyi, i'm a bridge/roadway engineer, and i could never find an interesting way to describe my job. lol.
