I hate canned stuff. Hate hate hate it. I pretty much have one opening "line" if you will, and it's really easy to do. Are you ready?

Walk up to any girl. Any woman at all, and say the following:

"Hi!"

That's it! Do it with a big cheesy grin on your face and be warm and welcoming. It doesn't take much more than that. Now where to go from there is a bit more difficult, but honestly, if you aren't a good conversationalist, no canned opener is going to save you.

I would be interested in this as well, I can talk to strangers but only in situations when it is expected (being at the same party etc). I would like to try to talk to someone completely new and behave like I have known them forever. I've read it in a book that if you use the vocabulary that an old friend would use it's easier. Rather than behaving brand new and shaking hands and all that, you can say like: "Ohh, I'm so glad to see you, how have you been?" because that assumes that you know them and have been in touch for awhile, rather than "How are you?" which is what a brand new person would say.

If you'e out in a club/bar or something the old "Hey could you settle an argument for me?" works wonders. I always like "do you think I should get a tattoo?" there's loads more possibilities and can develop into full blown conversation easily

I used to point out things in the club or bar (or anywhere) on the fly. Some examples: "Why do you think that tall girl over there is wearing high heels? - do you think she really wants to be taller?" Or "Dang, look at that girls dress! Hot or too much?" (Looking at go go dancers) "do you think there should be guys dancing half makes too to be fair?" I've number closed starting with each of these.

Time for bed... Just found this subreddit. I miss being out there but only for the game aspect of it. /happily married! Good luck.
